@zero.mode 📍 This is a delicious bottomless set menu with choice of shared main- we went for the aged duck - it was perfection! 🦆 $69 for the set menu and $40 on top for bottomless- it was such a generous amount of excellent food and drinks- so much more filling than other places I’ve been. Everything on the menu was executed well- loved the charred cucumber, wagyu and lobster prawn toast. Even the cos lettuce was so yum 🤤 By the time dessert came we were so stuffed! Highly recommend. 🥂 🍽💫💯

A small but always very busy place offering fusion food. I have stayed in The Chen for a week and realized it is always very crowded all the time. The size of the place is not big. There are only new tables. The main entrance is from the lobby of the hotel.

I had the special steak menu. It is only available at 5-9pm from Monday to Wednesday. It costs 59 AU dollars including a glass of wine, salads and steak. It is very nice and I am happy that I ordered it. But I would say it might be good to leave half of the steak without covering the sources. Or put the sources besides.

The new crab spaghetti tastes sooooo good! Love it so much! Steak is very juicy with pepper sauce. They also have dry aged duck with reasonable price!

The lobster and prawn rolls were so fresh and light. Wagyu poke was nice, very generous with the mushroom. Other people saying it's expensive are wrong, considering the portion is enough to share a main and be full and nice quality ingredients were used.
Definitely try the Thai black tea cream sponge cake with the cute dinosaur jelly! Not too sweet and a perfectly light end to a meal. Can't wait to come back for brunch! Thanks Zero Mode!

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of indulging in Zero Mode’s bottomless dinner in Box Hill, Melbourne, and it exceeded all expectations! For two delightful hours, we savored an endless array of drinks, including wines, beers, and cocktails, paired perfectly with an amazing set menu.

The entrees were simply divine! From the Duck Sando to the Lobster Prawn Toast and the Charred Cucumber, each dish was bursting with flavor and left us wanting more.

The Wagyu Intercostal was an absolute highlight; it practically melted in our mouths! And for mains, the 14 days dry aged Duck Baos were a perfect choice, complemented by crisp lettuce, pine nuts, and basil miso.

At $109 per person, the value for the quality and quantity of food and drinks offered was exceptional. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of our experience.

We left Zero Mode feeling thoroughly satisfied and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended for couples seeking a memorable dining experience in Melbourne!

It's an enjoyable location to hang out with a lively vibe. I enjoy the staff, the cuisine, and everything else about the place. The food is both good and comforting. The staff is pleasant. I adore this location and hope to return. We park our car at Box Hill Centre, and this is a short walk from there.

Instagram-worthy, asian-fusion brunch cafe in Box Hill.

This place is pretty iconic. Pretty much all the foodies heard of this place (even saw one doing a quick photoshoot when I went too!)

I personally care more about the actual food & flavours over the interiors/vibes so I was a bit sceptical at first. But this place definitely exceeded my expectation in the end.

We decided to do Bottomless Brunch ($60pp) as a group. You get an unlimited selection of booze & 1 main meal or 2 sides for 90 minutes. Honestly, they were all pretty delicious. Portion size on point too. I was mad full by the end of it (or maybe it's from drinking all the booze lol). I got GEAR4 (burger & fries - $23) - is it the best burger ever? Nah but definitely a great one. Patty was flavourful and juicy. On top of that, you get cheese, egg, bacons.. like how can this taste bad? My heart and arteries screamed for help but fk it, it was worth it.

Needless to say, the presentation was on point. Tbh, food itself felt a bit pricey but can't complain since you are essentially paying extra for vibes which I think is justifiable here.

Service was pretty quick too - they weren't stalling for time to give us our drinks. We each got at least 3 drinks. But drinks weren't super strong - I think I had 5-6. A bit buzzed but felt fine 💪built different fam. Overall, $60pp bottomless brunch = def worth.

The Set Dinner Menu ($59ea) with Bottomless Drinks (+$20ea for 90 minutes) is absolute value for money with the quality of food we received. Everything was presented beautifully and was delicious.

One thing to note is that how the set menu works isn't very clear on either the website or how the server explained it, so how it works:
- Everything is a share plate.
- You get to try all three starters listed.
- You pick one plate, main and side to share.
- You don't pick the dessert but I believe it is a cream cake by default.

From our experience the bartender is also absolutelu trying to get you drunk because the ratio of alcohol in the cocktail drinks certainly did not seem standard - we were totally fine with that but caution to those who can't handle stronger alcohol taste to stick with the non-alcoholic options (though stirring the drinks did occassionally help). Lead to a very bubbly walk away from the place after about 5 cocktails each 😝

The servers are very attentive at checking to see if you've finished your drink and are ready for the next one, so you definitely get the full value from it. The pictures should speak for themselves re the food - can't fault them at all.

Overall great experience and would definitely do it again.

Can’t believe this set menu is only $59 pp, we had three small bites, one fried chicken , one main dish and one dessert. Compared to all other casual dining restaurants, this is much cheaper and worthy. We also ordered four drinks in total, their cocktails are really fresh and light.
Definitely a good restaurant in BH area. And I heard they have good coffee as well.

Located in Box Hill.

The food tasted like what it looks like. It was amazing, although it was a little more on the expensive side, brunch for both myself and my partner was $75.00

Food:

🐖 Honey Char Siu - Twice cook pork belly with Cantonese BBQ sauce, seasonal vegetables, macadamia cream, satay
🐂 Got Beef - Slow cooked wagyu beef brisket, poached eggs, hollandaise, spring onion, Spicy powder on house-made waffle.

Drinks:

🥛🍓 Strawberry FREEZ with Lychee & Rose Panna Cotta
☕ 🍫 Hot Chocolate

This restaurant usually serves brunch in the morning and also operates in the evening. We tried their dinner menu and overall it was pretty good.

All the ingredients were quite fresh, especially the poke bowl. I recommend getting the seafood poke bowl (which is the most expensive one), and the sauce for the pasta was also very rich and worth trying.

The music in the restaurant was a bit loud, so it may not be suitable if you want to have a conversation with someone. But if you're gathering with friends, it's a place worth visiting.

The food is more than delicious and I don’t get why the average is 4.0 here. The dry age duck deserves 5 out of 5:)

Tried their $59pp dinner set menu tonight, which was great for the value. Plenty of food to eat, both of us were very full and had to take the remaining food home. My personal favourite was the lobster prawn toast. They also have an extensive cocktail list, drinks were extremely cute looking.

Had dinner here. We ordered the$59 pp set menu, didn't expect this much food. The duck croquette is savoury and got a good texture. The beef tartare isfresh and infused with wasabi mayo that is unqiue and flavoursome. The steak is nicely charred and tender. To top things off, the bubble tea dessert is very unique and delicious. Recommend.
