Checking in was super easy, staff were friendly.
Then we had something else go wrong with our trip and we needed to extend/change our booking. Tracey at New Castle Airport was amazing. She was understanding, sympathetic and went above and beyond to help us with a solution. Would highly recommend.

The ladies here at Budget are very helpful. Easy check in and helped out on drop off with phone left in rental and went out of there way to help find it and return it to us before our flight.

I rented a car from Sydney Airport and had a tour to Canberra then to Newcastle where I left the car at Newcastle Airport. The car, a Kia Cerato was such a great car and the people at both airports were professional and friendly. Highly recommended.

Dane and Mark were extremely helpful, professional, courteous, and went above and beyond to make our rental experience perfect and easy. Will definitely choose again based on this experience.

Nothing special but then it is a Budget rental
Nothing to complain about but there just wasnt a "hey nice to have you as a customer" feel about the transaction. Usual attempt to sell additioanl insurance which we declined as already covred in our travel insurance package.
GPS option very pricey and pretty cheeky given that all smart phones now offer the same function for free!
Cars are parked in bay outside (in the rain in our case) and you are left to find the car for yourself.

Just called to book a car for 1 day. whilst my comment is not against the fellow who answered the phone, but Budget, who advertise rates with Jetstar if you are travelling wit them, i was told the deposit is $400 if you are using a visa debit, but no deposit if you use a credit card.
what an insult. Just because you choose not to live on credit, and have the cash available on your debit card, you are made out to be a lesser person. But if you live on credit, then you are a better person in the eyes of Budget.
But here is the best part, it takes them 10 days to return your $400 deposit.
What do you do with our money Budget.
Well thats goodbye Budget, i travel regulary to Newcastle, at least twice a month, renting cars for at least a week at a time. Just Lost my business.
