Fiji Spice Market

Love shopping here and browsing amongst all the intriguing and exotic things on the shelves. Great for getting bulk quantities of rice or dal, and they have every kind of spice. Used to be mainly Indian foods, but lately they seem to have more of a South American focus. You can still get all your spices for South Asian cooking though.

Extensive varieties of authentic Latin/South American Foods, from Brasil, Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Mexico etc at great prices. Worth the trip to check out this grocery store at the end of Newtown near St Peter's Station.

Their collection of spices and yumminess is overwhelming.

I have now moved to the South Coast, but now make a special trip to Newtown so I can stock up on everything. Although I’m not a very adventurous cook, I always feel like a master cook when using their quality ingredients.

Their choice of quality incense also keeps me going back for more.

The most interesting and fabulous food and spice place in Sydney. So worth a visit for any foodie. Just been again and same great selection and service. Some new items from Mexico just have to try.

I took my wife and daughter to this store to get some ingredients and they were like children in a candy store, so many products from their home country (Mexico) and it was all reasonably priced the lady at the counter was also very lovely

My favourite shop in Newtown perhaps Sydney! Their home made and chai spice mixes, incense, Indian, Mexican and unusual foods and brands from all over the world are an absolute blessing and they are so helpful- it’s a wonderful experience every time I go in! Such treasures I always leave with more than I expected! A true gem of a shop and such a vital part of the fabric of Newtown for its colour and variety.

Amaaaazing stock. Huge selection of spices especially- everything you could possibly want. Great selection of ingredients for Indian, Mexican, and many other cuisines that you might struggle to get in a standard supermarket. Huge selection of rices and legumes, and they are happy to order things in for you (such as habernero chilli's etc).
Great Newtown institution!!

A well stocked shop which has a variety of spices and condiments for South Asian cuisine, as well as a few ready to eat products and snacks. They also have cosmetic and medicinal products from India and Nepal.

Fantastic spot to find spices and ingredients from around the world. Being an American expat we had trouble finding Mexican food ingredients in Sydney... No problem at Fiji Market, they had 80% of what we needed in one small corner of their place. Finding the other 20% was easy enough (essential ingredient, in case anyone has the same needs).

Amazing little store. We frequently purchase plantain and Colombian groceries for our friends who live out of the city to take to them when we visit. The lady who works in the evenings here is so friendly and was very helpful.

I was quiet impressed with what was stocked here. They carry a good range of spices and products you cannot get at the supermarkets. I found candlenuts which is used in Malaysian cooking. I was also intrigued by the Mexican products - the variety of chillies, sauces and beans. My daughter was excited when she saw Clamato which she had while in Mexico. If you have watched Patti’s Mexican Table and wondered where to get those Mexican ingredients, come here. You will be pleasantly surprised.
