The property is full of amazing antique curios to enjoy. The garden is beautiful. The location is quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views! Breakfast was amazing, delicious and with a magnificent view - order the freshly squeezed orange juice. The hosts were genial, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and history. A most charming bed and breakfast with a delightful atmosphere!

An exceptional stay, at an exceptional location. Gracious hosts who looked after the whole family and ensured we had a great stay. Breakfasts are a bonus and worth taking your time to enjoy with friends and family.

Mark and Richard were wonderful hosts that really cares about their fine details (and getting that right), a couple of small things we noticed that we were impressed with:

1. The bathroom was meticulously clean
2. The welcome cards were customised for our days of stay
3. The kitchen wear, plates, glasses etc were all highly specialised and purposeful
4. Mark and Richard both wear Leconfield House t-shirts in differentiated colours to help guests quickly identify who's who

On top of this, we were impressed by the house peppermint tea and the Leconfield's hen's eggs which was in the breakfast.

Though the location is a bit far from the nearest shops, Mark and Richard does provide a professional shuttle van that can take you around. As such there was nothing I could fault the stay, for not giving it a 5/5 on all criteria.

We recently stayed 2 nights at Leconfield House & it was wonderful.
The property is situated about 25mins from Pokolbin on a grassy hill, overlooking a vast countryside.
Richard & Mark were great hosts & made us feel very welcome.
The house is spotless & full of beautiful antiques & old world charm.
Tours of the winery are available, along with dinner options (which can be pre arranged prior to your stay).
A generous breakfast is included each day, which is served in the sunroom overlooking the rolling fields & grazing cows.
Port & chocolates are left in the room each night to cap off the evening.
We are looking forward to returning to Leconfield House for the warm country hospitality it provides.

We enjoyed a mums group weekend a while back. It was sensational mini break. Richard and Mark made us feel like royalty (loved the gold service buzzer) and it was a totally memorable stay. The fine dining experience in the parlour and dining room was the best. No need to leave the place when you can rock up to dinner in your finest attire and warm socks. We also booked the Heavenly Hunter massage services to visit us at Leconfield House (the upstairs suite has plenty of room) which was the perfect start to the weekend for the mums. Highly recommended. Planning to take hubby there for his special birthday later in the year.

My daughter and I spent two nights at Leconfield House to attend a concert. The house is beautiful and furnished in antiques, while also being modern and comfortable (iPad in each guest room). We had a light dinner and 2 breakfasts which were delicious and made with produce sourced on the property. We were given a private wine tour with 2 of the other guests and transport to the concert was also provided. Richard and Mark were the best hosts, no detail was missed over the entire weekend. We cannot recommend highly enough.Thank you Richard and Mark for sharing your house with us and your generous hospitality.

My Mum and I had the pleasure of staying at Leconfield House for one night. We wish it had been longer! The house is full of history and impeccably kept. Our hosts, Richard and Mark went above and beyond for us, making us feel extremely welcome. They even transported us to and from the concert we were attending. Absolutely fabulous hospitality, beautiful rooms, a delicious breakfast in the morning and stunning scenery.
We will be back.

They really spoilt us during our stay, starting our day with a delightful breakfast, then a private wine tour and finishing off with a complimentary port after turning down our beds.

We originally planned to attend a music festival but it ended up getting cancelled. Ultimately, we had a much better weekend thanks to Richard and Mark. They were able to arrange a winery tour for us last minute. Excellent choice of wineries and Richard accompanying us and adding his insights made the experience unique. The house its surroundings were just beautiful and the breakfast was scrumptious. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our stay.
Thanks Richard and Mark, we will be back and for longer.

Had a lovely two day stay at this peaceful, chic, yet cozy country home. Mark and Richard are exceptional hosts that will make you feel at home (and will also spoil you with delicious breakfast). 200% recommended for anyone wanting a memorable getaway surrounded by beautiful gardens, birds, and wineries, of course.

We loved staying at Leconfield House! Richard and Mark went above and beyond to ensure our first night away from baby was amazing. They transported us to and from the concert we were going to - and knew the ins and outs of the venue which made everything so much easier. They organised a wine tour for guests where we were able to taste wines not usually accessed by the public due to their connections. The house was beautifully kept, rooms inviting, grounds stunning, breakfast delicious and there were lovely personal touches like a personalised written itinerary on arrival, and a night cap of port and chocolates when we got home from our night out. On top of this, Richard and Mark were friendly, warm, knowledgeable and all round great company. We could not recommend Leconfield House more! We’ll be back.

My husband and I stayed with Richard and Mark for a much needed get away.

We only had one night but I wish it were more. They looked after us and were attentive without being intrusive.

I loved the conversation with these two highly intelligent and caring people. They were certainly the highlight of of our stay but I have to add that the little things to explore in each room, the boxes, trinkets, wedgewood, and crystal were a lovely touch. They have put so much thought into what makes people tick.

The place is hospitality at it's finest! Thank you so much for caring for us.

My wife and I spent one night at Leconfield house in June. This beautifully restored Victorian manor was a beacon of comfort on an open hill, dotted with occasional dairy cows. The interior was lavishly and warmly decorated with pieces that accorded with the Victorian theme. Breakfast was ample and delicious, served with commendable hospitality by our hosts - Mark and Richard.
Despite our short stay we felt refreshed and rested. Will try and come back again

Leconfield House was impeccably beautiful!
Richard and Mark are absolutely wonderful hosts, treating us like royalty with bubbles on arrival and port, chocolates and turn down service in the evenings.
Breakfast was scrumptious right down to the freshly made juices.
Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay

This has been our first stay here and it has truly been a delightful and memorable experience. The drive from Branxton to Pokolbin is about 20-25mins drive so not too far away, and away from the hustle and bustle. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by Richard who immediately made us feel very welcoming and comfortable. The rooms were fantastic and the on-site cooking and meals were delicious! During our stay we also got to meet Mark who was lovely. Thank you Richard and Mark for a pleasant stay. You both have done exceptionally well in providing a 5 star service and experience. The property is beautiful and we look forward to returning here in near future

We visited Leconfield House for a weekend away without our children for a combined anniversary and my husband’s 50th. We couldn’t be more pleased with our choice! Leconfield House and its fabulous hosts welcomed us wholeheartedly. A wonderful country house hotel with so much charm and character. It is kept beautifully, the gardens are most impressive, the house is filled with beautiful antiques and amazing greenery. The view is outstanding from the upper verandah where breakfast is served. The hosts put a lot of love and care into the catering and their presentation of the sumptuous breakfast had me reaching for my camera! It was one of the best breakfasts I’ve experienced at a guest house / hotel. Leconfield House was just what we needed - rest, comfort, the finer things, peace, reconnecting, meeting new people - a perfect break from the norm! We hope to visit again soon!

From the welcome drinks to huge cooked brekkies, homemade soaps and all the special touches Richard and Mark have created a truly wonderful experience. The rolling views, the antiques and history lessons, really I cannot fault anything. We will be back soon.
