Tommy's Beer Cafe

Very surprised and excited with the drinks, super ultra tasty from a person who has tasted different types of drinks in more than 1000 places. Here would be one of the top 10 for sure. They have very nice beers and mixes that you never tried anywhere else. The food itself was not great and surprising but drink would never let you down.

Food was excellent. Just like I remember from my childhood. So, if you are looking for an authentic Czech food and beer to try, this is definitely the place to go to.
Atmosphere is great. There are few Czech /Slovak songs on the playlist amongst the usual songs which is so refreshing to hear.
Staff is very friendly, nothing is a problem, anything is possible.
Great beer garden at the back.
Loved this place. Definitely will be back once back in Sydney.

Absolutely fantastic. Shandy was perfect, pretzel was great, and food was so tasty (I forget what I ordered, I had a few shandys, one of the Czech dishes).

Service was good, atmosphere was great. I'll be back soon to try the pork knuckle which was sold out on this day.

Just dropped in for a quick drink while in the area, beer selection like no where else - traditional Czech on tap, don’t think this is a craft beer bar. Food menu looked great and what I saw come out was tempting despite having dinner plans.

Came in on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy around 1pm. The place is a bit of a walk from Central station but worth trying out!

We ordered 2 servings of the Swiss Schnitzel (essentially very similar to a chicken parmigiana without the tomato sauce) which came with chips, sauerkraut and a gherkin aioli sauce. The sauce was definitely a banger and complemented the dish well and the schnitzel was really big (hand inserted for comparison).

It was super tasty and one of the better schnitzel I've had to date. Nice interior decor and fast service too with friendly staff.

This place is always a great choice on a cold winter evening when you want some hearty and delicious food. We forgot how generous are the dishes but if you visit make sure you order warm freshly baked pretzels to go with your beer while you’re waiting for your food to arrive. When it comes to beer you will find some seriously good Czech beer , in my humble opinion they are some of the best beers in the world but you come to check it yourself. Definitely try CZECH CUT
a blend of half dark and half lager. It’s really good to see that service, food and beer are always consistent quality and it’s not a nostalgia that keeps bringing us back to this local gem.

Tommy’s hospitality is one of a kind. Upon sitting down, Tommy insisted that we had to try a traditional blend of dark beer and Pilsner. This combination made the night for me. Aside from this, Tommy’s genuine engagement with his customers brings a warm experience to the place. 10/10 would recommend. Cheers Tommy

We were at Tommy's Beer Cafe for a family birthday celebration. Birthday Girl Kelly ordered a spit roast, which was delicious, and sides, also delicious. Such a simple way to cater for a group, staff were so friendly and attentive, with a great party atmosphere without being noisy, which meant we could chat, share stories and enjoy! Thanks for a fantastic evening

One of our favourites for a night out. Great food (sublime pork belly!), a fantastic selection of beers and the perfectly recreated atmosphere of a Slovakian beer cafe. Occasionally have some fantastic specials that you wouldn't normally see in Sydney, like wild hare in red wine.

I Discover this place thanks to my Czech girlfriend. I was a bit skeptical to try It at first but now I want to go every weeks!
The quality of the food is TOP TOP TOP!! everything is delicious and the portions are quite big! the beer is amazing and they serve it in the typical pint jars!
I have meet the owner quite a few times and he is very cool, always making sure we have a great time!

So glad to find a Central European cafe in Australia! My first one in 8 years here. Delicious Czech beer on tap, authentic ambience, the smoked cheese was amazing

Great variety of beers and amazing ambiance . Love the beer garden at the back. We’ve been here a few times to get some snacks with beers like the pretzel but this time we got dinner. Ordered the Swiss schnitzel with ham and cheese and the sausage platter. Both super well served and paired amazingly with the Czech and German beers. Definitely recommend, will be back to try more from the menu !

Excellent service, delicious food and very reasonable prices! $34 for the metre long sausage and $28 for three sausage platter (German bratwurst, Swiss bratwurst, Cheese Debrizener) which comes with the creamiest mash ive ever had. The mustard and horseradish, sauerkraut and red cabbage complement the meal beautifully.

There's also an excellent selection of beers from europe. The pork belly that i got to try from my friend's dish just fell away it was so tender.

Really exceeded expectations.

My partner is Slovakian and we both live in Melbourne.
Now and then we will make a quick weekend trip to Sydney just to have some delicious central European meal!
The portion is great and the quality is amazing!
Service is friendly and it is not overly priced.

I'm shocked I haven't reviewed this place yet as it is one of my favourite places to visit. Beers are amazing and bring me back to living and traveling in Europe for three years.
Staff are very friendly and quick with service and advice.
Food was amazing and I only wish I could taste more.

Lovely lunch today at Tommy's. Staff extremely welcoming. The food made me miss my family and the beer selection was great! Definitely recommend. Not too far from Broadway. Czech food done right!! Will be back!
