Metro Hotel Marlow Sydney Central

I was looked after from the moment I walked in the Hotel the staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and looked great the bed was very comfortable the buffet breakfast was very nice. The hotel was located within walking distance to trains light rail and buses I will recommend and stay there if I come to Sydney again. A big thanks to all that the staff at the Metro hotel Merlot

This hotel is perfect for the cost. A nice central location, clean, and decently comfortable. It reminds me of Europe, yes the rooms are a bit dated but it’s clean which is most important. We had an issue with our air conditioner and the gentleman at reception was so kind. He went to check an alternative room to ensure the air conditioner there was working and then called me back to suggest we move to it. I am so grateful and would definitely stay again!

Older hotel, small room. Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Worked well for us for the price. Several quirky things that we overlooked and enjoyed our stay. Bed seems like on rollers so when sitting up reading or watching TV if leaning back it slides away from the wall. Toilet paper dispenser behind the toilet, a first. Daily maid service was good. Great location. Lots to see walking or public transportation a block away. Central Station 2 blocks. A huge Coles grocery a block away. Countless restaurants. Rooftop pool is large and water clean and clear. Internet spotty reception some rooms but had data on cell. We will stay again.

The staff were very nice & helpful, the room was spotless.

Great location within walking distance to everything, ample public transport if you need it, including a tram stop right around the corner.

Staff friendly and very welcoming. Rooms were clean and tidy and bed was great for hubby. Shower was good with good pressure.Seemed a little aged in some areas such as the bathroom, but nothing major. Great location near the light rail with lots of places to eat nearby. Room was quiet. Would stay here again if in sydney.

conveniently located near museum and townhall station (about 6-12 minutes walk) with lots of good restaurants within a minute walk from the hotel lobby. the staffs were friendly too and very accomodating, easy to talk with. they even lent us an umbrella as it was raining the night we checked in and we needed to go out for dinner. photos added here were taken from our room.

We found this hotel extremely good value for money and we stayed here for 4 weeks.We found the the room extremely comfortable and it was cleaned daily and the beds were changed every other day.The only fault we could find was that the bathtub was in need of a refurb. The hotel in in an excellent position for the light railway which takes you to all the main attractions.The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful especially the resturant tmanager Abdull Hamid Jib and all resturant staff.If we come back to Sydney we would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Didn't mention breakfast food. Excellent.Good selection of all breakfast foods.Can really recommend it.

I booked for a short stay not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, I would say the rooms are standard quality, nothing special. But our room we clean, refreshed daily with new sheets and towels. Room service available if needed. We had a tv, ironing board and hair dryer which is so useful to know if you’re packing light and are trying to bring limited items. Our bed was comfortable and we slept well. The room was just the start though, we had such good experience with the service of the hotel staff, our flight home was cancelled last minute requiring us to book an extra night, the staff were able to book us in for another night for the exact same room. Check in/out is 24/7 which is so helpful for late/early travellers. The location is also so convenient, we walked to everywhere we needed to go, loads to do locally and public transport close by if needed. So happy!

Great hotel to stay at highly recommended. Could not fault anything ,beds super comfortable room and bathroom spotless. Staff very friendly.We really enjoyed our breakfast.Great position handy to everything.When back in Sydney we will definatley stay at the Metro Hotel again.Thank you for our enjoyable stay.We stayed for 3 nights.

It was a beautiful Hotel but for $300 a night there was no staff help to take your case to the room and when you leave room no help with case for disability people I would stay there again may be they will have help next time thankyou to the staff 😊😊💖

Great location for the centre of Sydney. I was catching an early morning train the next day and the hotel was an easy walk to Central station. Lots of good places nearby for dinner. Room was comfy and quiet. Staff were helpful and efficient.

Great location and close to public transport, plenty of places to eat in the area. Rooms good, clean,toiletries lift.

I thought that the staff were very hospitable. The rooms were kept very clean and serviced daily. The bed was most comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location for getting around on public transport which was important to us as my husband is not very mobile. I have Coeliac disease but was catered for very well at the breakfast facilities in the dining area.

I stayed with my family in a junior suite. The hotel itself is outmoded so you can't expect 100% beauty in it, however, I strongly believe the thing that makes it a 4-star hotel is its staff predominantly the reception/front desk. As I recollect, his name is Abuel, I appreciate how he asked anything if we needed some things before he send us up to our room. He also delivered a few things we requested, ASAP. It's such a great experience to spend some time in the hotel with this kind of people. Cheers!

Had such a great experience here! The service is excellent and the staff were always friendly and ready to be of help. They also allow baggage storage for before/after checking in which is amazing.

The rooms were great and comfortable, and heater is great for winter. The tap water temperature varies (I suspect due to piping) like sometimes it takes long for hot water to come through. There was also not a lot of leg room in front of the toilet bowl due to a column, I think taller guests would have a hard time.

The rooftop pool is small but lovely! The toilets in the lobby were also well-maintained.

Lastly, the location is amazing - nearby train station, lightrails, bus stops, and lots of great food in the area.

Overall I am happy with my stay for the price I paid, it was very worthwhile.

I could not fault the Metro Hotel Marlow from the moment I arrived at the hotel. The front of house staff - Zara, Malika, Miyuka were extremely helpful at accommodating me in my room on arrival. They also offered helpful advice for navigating my way around Sydney. The other front of house staff gave me detailed information which made travelling to an appointment very easy. Sandip who worked on the morning shift and was very helpful. The breakfast was tasty and varied. The restaurant staff were very friendly. Cleaning staff did a wonderful job. Thanks everyone for making my stay a pleasure in a fantastic location.

Hotel great value, excellent location, room perfectly nice and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful and they happily stored our luggage for us when we had a late flight. Would definitely stay again.
