Great cafe with high quality food and coffee. There are three areas inside for seated dining. The menu is good with lots of vegetarian options. Service is friendly and focused and the atmosphere casual and relaxed. Highly recommended

The restaurant offers tasty food with a good menu! I enjoyed the shashuka and the coffee. Their falafels are good (flavourful and not too dry). I've liked the banana bread and fruit / cereal bowl with chai latte in the past as well.
In terms of seating, I prefer the backside room. It is well lit with plants and old pots decorations. It makes you feel happier even on a rainy day!

I’m new to the area so excited I stumbled across Shenkin❤ - the coffee is outstanding so are the muffins and breakfast as for the staff I can’t remember when I’ve encountered such a bunch of ‘lovely’ staff - incredible! highly recommend

I’ve been coming here for years now, and although the menu changes up every now and again (and I can’t get some of my old faves), the food is always amazing! Always presented in such a nice way too. The coffee is also very solid as well.

Great location, great vibe, amazing food... but most importantly amazing coffee. This place is a must try if you are looking for something different in Sydney. When you aren’t feeling that traditional bacon, eggs and avocado breakfast this place is for you. Oh, you are...? Well, this place also dose that too. Heh.

Angelita’s special was sooo good! I loved the puff pastry and spicy coriander. My partner got the Shakshuka and it was very good as well. Also recommend their fresh orange juice ☺ calm and bright venue, with friendly staff

Found this cozy cafe when I had just transferred to Erko for work. It immediately made me feel welcome to this unique suburb. The staff are always friendly and the coffee is always consistent in quality and flavour. I've tried the pastries here before and they're lovely! I hope to be on a later shift sometime to have some brekky.

Favourite spot in Erskineville. Fun and friendly stuff, plenty of sunshine on a good day, and the menu is top notch. The Tel Aviv Breakfast is a favourite, as is the shakshuka.

If you're looking for a delicious and hearty breakfast, Shenkin Erskineville is the place to be. The shakshuka is fantastic, and the Tel Aviv breakfast is my personal favorite. The service is always polite, and the prices are reasonable.

Every dish was delish ! Hands-down one of my favourite cafes, and an awesome introduction to Israeli food. Their home-made shakshuka w/chorizo is a must-try that will leave your tastebuds smiling and satisfied. The potato & mushroom burekas drizzled in mushroom sauce was very tasty, and the waffles were beautifully cooked into crisp, warm, golden-brown goodness.

Ambience is bright and spacey (especially in the back dining room), and you're always greeted by lovely customer service. Overall, a unique cafe that serves only the greatest heart-warming Israeli foods you will ever taste.

Food was super fresh, tasty & plentiful. Nice combination of healthy food, coffee, frappes etc. Reasonably priced in a great location 5 min walk to King Street. Very pleasant staff. Caffe was clean after lunch rush hour when I visited. No complaints & Will definitely revisit.

I was looking for a breakfast place that opens early on a Sunday morning and was so glad that Cafe Shenkin opens super early. Parking on King St was a breeze as it was still quiet. Like the lovely & friendly crew, great coffee and Israeli influenced menu. One of the best Shakshukas that I've tried (the secret must be the grilled eggplant & haloumi inside), amazing ZIVA (baked filo pastry with cheese & olive filling, egg, grated tomato, hummus, tahini & spicy coriander). A coffee and 2 mains set us back for $40 in total. Not exactly the cheapest, but it was a lovely breakfast no doubt!

What an excellent surprise, wandering in for a cafe breakfast and finding an Israeli menu with a strong Yemeni influence.

The malawach was great, with a generous serve of side dishes (tomato, hummus, tahina) and eggs.

Stumbled upon this cafe in Erskinville and it was a very pleasant experience from being greeted by the very friendly staff to the amazing food they have.

I ordered the Telaviv Brekkie while my wife had the Shakshuka. Both were crowd pleasers for sure. :)

Best coffee I’ve ever had in Sydney (visiting from Melbourne). The Shakshuka with eggplant and halloumi was awesome. The lemon and mint frappe was perfect accompaniment to the SHakshuka. Even the tune selection was on point. Forgot to take photo it was so good.

i went into the place and was greeted with a lovely waiter Owen. he was exceptional and i would recommend going if every waiter is like him. go to this place

Truly the best and fastest service I have ever received. The staff are very kind, helpful and everything is much better than it should be.
