Riverside Holiday Resort Urunga

Great place to stay! So easy. Everything is right there. The park is quiet and very well maintained. Love it! Third time staying and already booked again for next year.

Great place to chill out. Lovely manager and staff, even the cleaners have a great attitude. Fantastic location, close to the water, up the stairs to the club, and nice and close to the shops. Attended a 70th B'day there and the accommodation catered for everybody. 👍

We stayed at Riverside Holiday Resort Urunga from 18th September to 21st September. It was like home from home. The apartments are modern, spotlessly clean, well equiped and very good value. There is a pool at the resort and a golf club next door. Urunga is a village about 20 minutes south of Coffs Harbour. We ate locally in Urunga at the local pub, bowling club and cafes. No complaints as food was very good standard. If you're thinking of a holiday at Coffs Harbour, would definitely recommend Riverside Holiday Resort Urunga.

I have already posted a Review yesterday (23 Sept) but I should have mentioned the sliding door out from the kitchen needs URGENT attention as it was very difficult to slide open and close.... needed to get my husband to open & close the door. Reported it the Receptionist the first day the office was open (Monday) after checking in on the Saturday. We were told she made a note of the door needing maintenance......but told us the door leading from the lounge had been recently repaired & it was very expensive to repair. We thought there could have been something done while we were there for TWO WEEKS!! Really it is not our concern about maintenance costs. My husband explained it needed to be repaired, as the door if left un-repaired would be doing damage to the track, which would then become a larger cost & problem....probably what occurred to the Lounge Door, plus no consideration for us having to struggle with the kitchen door. Must add, the Receptionist was NOT Kelly (whom I had given a great review previously (forgive me if Kelly's name is "Kerry" & I have been calling her by the incorrect name). Our point is: not guests problem how much maintenane costs.....guests SHOULD report maintenance requirements in order to save the Resort additional costs if left unattended. PLUS fix problems for guests while they are staying for 2 weeks. Catherine & Brian
My other review is apparently on "Tripadviser" where I stated how much we enjoyed our holiday of 2 weeks. I mentioned how friendly & professional Kelly/Kerry one of the staff members had been. Please read my other Review of 23 Sept 2023 to obtain my POSITIVES of this lovely Resort. The above text re the sliding door is our only item we felt needed to be addressed....maybe it was due to the particular staff member we reported the fault to, being inexperienced in dealing with problems older people need attention paid to.......ability to open/close sliding door. My family organised a 70th birthday party week here... and we had so much fun we are going to book again.

Been going to here since I was a baby, and have continued to go here into my early adulthood. Watching this place develop from a small-time area where my family and I used to just stay and entertain ourselves; into a destination where people from all over the country come and look forward to staying is amazing!
The changes that have come with this (like the trampolines and the pools and even the extra units) have always left me with bittersweet feelings.
I enjoy and look forward to coming here every time we do, its such a humble and earnestly fun little place to come to and I am so grateful for all its staff and the people that help keep this resort maintained.
The location is lovely and right where shops and the pub are within walking distance, alongside the boardwalk and the beach; and other tourist attractions like the Honey Place and other areas are only minutes away by car.
I just love this place so much. I couldn't ask for a better place to go to :)

Resort is very clean, excellent location. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They made suggestions on what places to visit in the local area and what events were on. Extra toiletries and supplies such as bin liners, toilet paper, towels, hand soap and bedsheets were provided promptly upon request with no extra charge. They also provided a floor squeegee for us to use after we shower. The resort has kayaks that we hired for only $15 per kayak for 3 hours. The resort pool is very nice and overall very quiet and peaceful at night. We were able to rent a wheelchair for $15 from coffs harbour for an entire week and the resort were happy to return it back to the provider which saved us an extra 30 minute drive. Unit was clean, aircon very good. The oven range light did not work but after 1 phonecall to reception, it was fixed on the same day. Smart TV had network issues but was fixed on the same day by reception staff. Overall, very happy and satisfied with our visit and happy to stay here in future as well.

The staff at the resort are exceptionally helpful. The rooms are fabulous with a nice private outlook in each room. Located directly across from the river and walking distance to everything. Great value for money. Book direct with the Resort if you are a member of a Registered Club you might get a better price than online booking sites.

Love staying here was the perfect spot to spend Christmas with the family. The units are excellent with loads of room. The pool is perfect sizing and location is so close to everything. Can't wait to come back.

Stayed in downstairs 2 bedroom. Pretty Lovely good. Loved waking up to a water view. Just what we needed. WiFi was a bit shifty so didn't even use it. Reception for phones isn't that great. But overall pretty good experience. Good location, walk to pub for a cold one or food, golf course next door also offers restaurant and cold ones. We hired golf gear and buggy..buggy was pretty slow. But great fun with friends. Walk to the board walk amazing and to local Spar and Foodworks and Cafe where the coffee and hot chocolate were beautiful!!

A little playground and trampoline in the middle of the apartments. And lovely pool.

Urunga is a great little town for a holiday having stayed there many times over the years. We have a friend with family that live at Urunga and that's how we discovered this town. Have stayed at numerous places over the years, but I think the Resort has been our best stay. We have stayed there even before they added the amenities they have now and it was great.

Fantastic cabins also dog friendly, very clean , great location and feels like home. The best bed and pillows I have ever while away, just perfect and very reasonable for what you get.

Cleanest accommodation. Comfortable beds. Heating great, enjoyed our stay. Arrived after hours and check in was smooth and easy. Parking was easy. Thank you Rebecca and Staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Been a few times now great view of the water. Apartment was clean. The only thing a can fault was the wfi wasn't great hopefully by next October it will be alot better.staff were very friendly they do a great job

Our week at this resort was our first holiday post caravan. We loved the place. The unit was roomy, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Its location is excellent, near golf course, tennis courts, river, club and boardwalk. The manager who greeted us in the office is friendly, efficient, helpful and attended to every suggestion we made.
A great place, a great experience. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in the new apartment block and really enjoyed our stay, once again. Apartments are clean and situated in a perfect spot in Urunga. Bec and the team go out of their way to help and make your stay comfortable. We always feel relaxed and refreshed. The sea lido, river boardwalk and town centre are situated within a 3 minute walk. We love walking around the golf course too. Perfect for families, especially with small children. We'll see you in April 2021!!
