This is definitely a wee gem of a place. Locals cooking great food with an open air laid back chilled out vibe. View out over the river and mountains to the west is really nice. Ive stopped here whilst travelling on motorcycle for breakfast and lunch and the food never disappoints. BLT deluxe washed down with a banana smoothie or iced latte will have you grinning. With river, park and toilets just across the road its a real nice place to get the hell off that boring Pacific Highway and take a breather, or a swim, or a burger....whatever floats ur boat.

Toasty was fabulous...Ham, cheese, onion on Turkish was scrumptious. Fish n chip box was great value. Smoothies made onsite too lovely place to stop for lunch or a break. Carrot Cake was an afterthought but yummy

I convinced my husband to take this 10 min detour of the highway to visit this picturesque village by the river and found this amazing shaded cafe by the river with a lovely verhanda to have coffee/chai and lunch. Couldn’t have made a better decision We both had the freshest fish and chips. Great coffee and my Chai latte was best I’ve ever had. The man on the neighbouring table had a humungous delicious looking hamburger. Will be sure to return when we go south again.
On leaving however, I left my hand bag behind at the table. I hadn’t realised till a few hours later down the highway. I rang the store and it was there. The staff were so kind and helpful posting it to me by express mail. I’ve just received it and want to express my gratitude to them for them going out of their way. 👍 I was soo relieved I didn’t have to cancel all my cards. Thanks so much.

Fabulous spot. Great coffee and cakes, fish and chips excellent and the potato cakes the best anywhere!!! Staff are efficient and friendly. We’ll worth a trip to this little town on the mid north coast.

Dined in for a works burger and chips.
A well constructed burger including everything a legit ozzy burger is expected to have.
Excellent bun that smashed the challenge of staying together as you dislocate your jaw to get that big boy in your mouth. $5 chips n chicken salt is a big enough serve as a side dish to compliment such a huge burger.
Noteworthy is the quality serviettes to clean up your chops and paws.
Also Bits n bobs around the surf vibing quicky mart / post office.
Awesome friendly service.
Also grabbed some caramel slice for a sneaky treat.
I reckon it could get real busy ,so you might expect a wait. Otherwise go to McDonald's

Such a wonderful gem. Just on old-style country beach-river local escape. Food is always great, staff really friendly.

Today I had a beef burger at the store. My husband had fish and chips. The shop was really busy because of Christmas however the service was quick. The burger was one of the best burgers I’ve had in years. So good. Real meat patty and lovely fresh bun and salads. Amazing. I wanted to tell the girls in the kitchen personally however there was quite a line when I was leaving and they looked busy 100% recommend

We had a very pleasant lunch by the river. A triple cheese vegetable toastie and a veggie burger, with sweet potato chips, absolutely delicious. The order came quickly, the service was friendly as was the atmosphere.
We went from there to visit nearby friends for a cuppa, so we bought a selection of bickies, e.g., macadamia and white chocolate, to take with us. Our friends where very impressed.
Don't be shy, give it a try.

What a cool store!. The coffee was great plus there was a nice selection of great sweats. I had a very tasty slice of chocolate cake. What a cool general store! 👍
