Lake Wallace Camping

Excellent place with awesome facilities and great views. Bathrooms and toilet facilities are awesome and it is so close to Sydney.

Plenty of space around you and you will not feel somebody is crowding upon you.

Water colours are fascinating and it is a great fishing spot as well.

Sensational place. Clean great amenities with stacks of room. Upkeep was next level. Plenty for the kids to do. Great play area. Great fishing. Really can't speak highly enough. Dog off leash area. Free camp for 48hrs. Dump point and fresh water available.

A slice of paradise. Loads of places to camp or park a caravan.

Kid friendly with well equipped play ground.

Wheel chair friendly ramp & floating pontoon for disabled fishing. (With trout, redfin & bass on offer.) Plus loads of flat open grassed areas.

On lead dog friendly with an off leash park.

Was good place to visit During school holidays or long weekend it can get very busy. But always friendly people and camping in rv's tents or motor homes.
Need to take your own toilet paper as it runs out fast showers were OK.
The dog park is a good size to walk your dog and if you like a sertan spot you need to get in early. Want to go again next weekend so should be a bit quiater as its back to school for kids but also depends on who's getting away for the weekend

Beautiful rest area. has a walking track next to the lake. Amazing views and most of the sites are level.

Great place . awesome free hot showers but need people to realise that you dry off in shower cubicle to keep floors dry . Good fishing and pleasant stay

Hot showers, super clean toilets, free camping, beautiful lake, fresh air, what more do you want! Winter camping was a treat as you don't need an Esky to keep Ur beers chilled. Loads of bins around so you won't need to take your rubbish with you home.
Advice: toilets close at 6pm so do your business before then. And have a garbage bag at your camp site to keep things clean for other fellow campers.

Great camping experience! You can fish by the lake, light a bonfire at night, and drink and chat with friends. The bathroom is a bit far from where we set up our tent, so we have to drive there to wash up... The first day we went there was a fire ban, so we couldn't light a fire until the second day. It is recommended that you check whether there is a fire ban on that day before going.

Considering it’s free the site is great. The facilities are a little basic, but to be expected and are clean enough to get on with it! Lake looked lovely too

Nice place to go camping. No fires allowed. Fire trucks came out at dusk to put everyone's fires out. Fun to watch. Probably not fun for the campers who's fires were extinguished. Looks like a great place for water activities. I'll bring a canoe next time.

I wish there were more places like this. Free camping in a location next to a beautiful lake suitable for kayaking or paddleboarding. We went paddleboarding in the early morning, very peaceful and a little misty.

Nice location for a free camp. It wasn't too busy but it was a Thursday night, just drive around till you find a site you like and set up your gear.

A great escape, whether caravaning or camping, fishing and paddle boarding. Beautiful lake walks, close to shops. Lots of spots to camp.

Lovely place for first camper, free site will essential facilities available. I was so lucky I get here for my first camping location, awesome free campsite.

This is a great place to spend a few nights - 2 max.

And there are plenty of birds and shade from trees.

We camped in a tent even though most of the people were in RVs.

It's quiet and secluded. I would definitely go back there again.

Absolutely incredible. We registered to free camp in our RV through Lithgow Council here at Lake Wallace.

The lake is absolutely gorgeous and clean. Talked to some fishermen who had just caught some good sized trout and red fin perch!

The playground has been incredible for our kids too - gated, good for toddlers and bigger kids, even has BBQs and undercover picnic tables. We parked our RV next to the playground which made it super easy for us parents and the kids loved it.

What a gem!

Nice camping on the lake. Lots of room, so not crammed in. In ameneties building 3 loos and 3 hot showers.
Was there recently and some dirt roads in the were badly potholed, May 2022.

Great campground to sleep, want too busy for Friday night, has TONS of space, free hot showers, was very nice!
