Australia Post - Wallerawang LPO

This gorgeous Post Office is a gem in the wobbly crown of Australia Post! Shelley, Julie (and the Poodles!) are always so helpful and it's always service with a smile. And the stylish shop! I regularly purchase presents for, okay...myself. But it is a great little shop to find a unique present. Can't recommend them enough.

Julie and crew are always most helpful and consistently sociable and yet professional. They oversee a small but valuable centre of postal shipping and parcel reception along with the odd helpful tip or two making for an easier postal service, especially in these recent difficult times. Well done!

From the perspective of a business based in Wallerawang, this post office is essential to my day to day operations, making use of banking services to deposit cash, shipping and collecting parcels and the like. I am quite sure that other businesses as well as individuals here find it similarly important as the foot traffic in and out of the place is constant. This post office is a hub of our community. The staff are helpful. The range of services offerred is excellent. And they are on our doorstep. There is no reason not to support them.

Always helpful. Always friendly. Always cheerful. This post office is one of the hubs of the local community and provides a fairly complete range of services normally available in modern post offices. Good for letter and parcel postage of course, post office boxes, bill payment, Bank@Post and so on. It is true that you can not get things like passport photos done there but in a town the size of Wallerawang the demand for that is limited. Locals go to Lithgow on the rare occassion this post office does not offer the service they require. Letter box that is not out on the street a feature. Opening hours are good on weekdays,but we aware that they do close for an hour for lunch each day and like most postoffices around these parts do not trade at all on weekends.

Shelley and her team, are amazing. The gift shop has a surprising selection of home and gift wares at really great prices.

Pretty friendly and everything, I'd get that phone looked at it's been three months they still don't have a working phone but the service it good once you make that special trip to see if anything is in.

EXCELLENT SERVICE - staff always go out of their way to be helpful, friendly, and pleasant - good range of postal bags, etc .... but also magical range of giftware at reasonable prices.

Love the friendly service at Wallerawang Post Office. when you go there personally- but wish they would answer their phone. Worried our post offices are copping a lot of bad calls because the new system at Australia Post is letting the whole thing down and causing its workers to cop the ... because they put in a dysfunctional anti -service system. So Crazy to go from good service to no service when good service is what sells a business:-)!

Very helpful with trying to help find my lost parcel

New owners need to start delivering parcels or choose another profession.
No point ordering online if its going to be carded and left at the post office for customers to come pick them up.

Extremely shady behaviour from the staff here after my parcel was signed off to some random person by the name of 'R Kolta'.

The staff, in particular the old man in glasses, have repeatedly lied to both me and the Australia Post investigations team. One minute he's telling me they lost the parcel, next minute he's telling investigations they delivered it to the right person, and the next he's telling me they can't access the CCTV footage investigations told me to look at. The old man insisted he wasn't the manager, but the poor manner in which he treats the other staff says otherwise. Eventually he admitted only head office is above him.

Anyway, fairly done with chasing them around when they clearly don't want to cooperate for whatever sordid reason they have, so the matter has been forwarded to the Commonwealth Ombudsman and police. Beware sending your parcels here.

This post office has gone down hill since change of staff. They never answer the phones now when you try to ring!
