Mood Food Grand Central Launceston - Ampol

This place is incredible! Walking home on Friday night after all the restaurants had closed, our eyes popped out in disbelief when we saw the amazing deli full of delicious precooked meals. We had the lasagna (did someone's nonna make this?) but the pies, salads and curries looked great too. The grocery store is a hipster's dream, with craft beers, artisan coffee beans and organic foods – vegan deserts to boot!?

Without a doubt a better range than anywhere in Melbourne at 11pm ... or possibly any time. The staff were really lovely too!

Exceptional service and open minded kindness.

Sometimes the baked sweets and potatoes are not good but their cooked chips are great and they have friendly staff.

A great resource for the city to have it be 24/7 open hours.

Damien the worker is a bloody legend. The food is awesome. The service is excellent from all stuff and overall it always satisfies my mood if I’m in the mood for food!

CONSISTENTLY GREAT COMFORT FOOD- fresh, hot and tasty. Generous portions and very reasonable prices.
Also open 24hrs with terrific, friendly old fashioned service. My go to in Launy for late night Uber runs and sneaky burger needs. Toasties are also a highlight. Highly recommend 😊

We are regulars and this is due to the high levels of customer service we always get and also quality and selection available in the shop.
I saw a review the other day saying the tall orange haired boy with glasses had been rude to customers.
I think that customer may have been referring to my wife and myself.
We love a good joke and sometimes the banter we have with Nathan and other staff may be construed that way.
All I can say is we have fun with the staff and they have fun with us.
I apologise to those customers that were upset by this and also to Nathan if we got him in trouble.
I can assure you we have never had bad service here and keep coming back because of the high level of service we get not just from Nathan but all the great staff.

Awesome food always hot and fresh, had many different types of food and also been to Kempton on many occasions I traveled to Hobart on a daily basis so I’m a regular customer between there and Launceston haha there is a reason why they have been around since I can remember highly recommend

Good selection of Tassie products, plus the usual items you'd find at a service station. Great place to grab some last minute gifts to take interstate.

The food is great from the cafe here. Very convenient if you need to grab some simple groceries while giving your vehicle some petrol. I tend to buy something from the cafe on my morning walk into town sometimes when I feel like it. 😁

Great selection of Tasmanian products. Great for last minute gifts before heading back to "the mainland". The quality of the paper bag is top notch - no sogginess from the delicious potato pie in the bag after a good amount of time browsing the shop. 5 stars!

If you're an early starter or travelling through, stop here. BEST coffee believe it or not! They have an awesome variety of food at all hours of the day. You can literally get anything here including petrol. My fave go to hang over remedy and early-hours-of-the-morning-before-work coffee and breakfast place.

Groceries, fuel, fresh food, alcohol this place has the lot. Always happy staff, Sometimes during lunch they get overwhelmed in the Cafe/resteraunt. Fresh salad rolls, salads and fried food, ple ty to choose from. You can definitely see why it's such a busy place

Great variety of food. Good service. In and out very quickly. Perfect place to stop in for lunch on the go or when you only have a few minutes on your lunch break.
