Jannei Goat Dairy - artisan cheese

Excellent folks, excellent cheese.
Janette and Neil were so lovely and happy to chat about everything that goes into their cheesemaking process. Janette gave us the tour, we met some baby goats and got lots of dog pats. They had so many daffodils flowering around the farm too!
It was hard to decide which cheese to buy as everything was so wonderful! A very positive experience 🥰

We had a lovely day at Jannei Goat Dairy today. Jannei was wonderful and the cheese tasting was superb. After sampling a selection of artisan goat cheese, we ended up buying three different cheeses. The coffee was as good as any cuppa you get from chain coffee shops in Sydney. We also went to the paddock to feed/pet the baby goats. Bonus point, both resident dogs were super friendly. It’s definitely something you don't want to miss if you are visiting the area.

The cutest little family owned farm!! We did a cheese tasting for 2 people and got all this for just $14. Best cheese ever it was absolutely delicious we got some cheese and jams to take home!! The family are so lovely and took the time to chat to us and explain the different cheeses. Definitely recommend and will be dreaming about this cheese!

We had such a lovely visit, tasting the fabulous cheese as Janette talked us through how they were made, and then feeding the baby goats. I had no idea how cute baby goats were and they all had names. Just watch out for that Chloe - she'll eat everyone's share of pellets if you give her a chance. Well worth a visit - only about 10 minutes away from Lithgow and right on the main road so super easy to find. We came away stocked up with lots of delicious cheese.

Loved this place. Enjoyed a tasting plate and bought some items to take away. The curd was my favourite with the home made fig and quince jam.

Jannei is a delight. Her passion for her award winning work is evident. Thoroughly enjoyed my tasting plate, and am still enjoying my Buche Noir and Bent Back. If you have a long vehicle, you can pull up across the road.

Such a friendly and lovely owner. She told us everything about her farm during the cheese tasting. The goat cheese was so delicious and flavorful. Kids loved playing with the farm dog. Cheese marinated in chilli is highly recommended.

Really great cheese tasting experience!!! We ended up buying the fresh curd and the bent back chèvre.

We called to check if they were open as we'd be passing by shortly and when we arrived we were given a lovely cheese tasting of about 5 different styles - all were amazing! But my favourites were the curd and cheddar which I bought at a great price! I also picked up a bat of soap which smelled beautiful.
Well worth a drop in if you're near by!

We visited the dairy today and were greated by Janette, who was really lovely. Janette took the time out to explain the different cheeses and the process used to make them. The cheese taste fantastic, I would definitely recommend it. The farm is nice you can see the goats in the field, their dog is also super friendly.

The best place to buy El Naturale raw goat milk, yoghurt and cheese. Their prairie cream and bent back chevre are to die for with some crackers and nice white wine purchased locally. Definitely worth a checkout
