Had a wonderful stay at Sails in the Desert. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Pool was great. Lots of pool chairs not only around the pool but in the garden area too, shaded under trees and very peaceful. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Can highly recommend for a tranquil escape and enjoy this little oasis in the desert.

Lots of reviews here talk about pricing and food options - but if you do your research you won’t be surprised. There are actually lots of options to eat outside of Sails. Go and explore the resort and town centre and you will be pleasantly surprised!

Such a phenomenal breakfast with an all-you-can-eat buffet. Only $49 per person. They had everything from cereals, fresh juicy fruits, and hot pancakes, you could watch your omelet made which was incredible and so much more. It's also kid-friendly too! I recommend checking out that place If you can. Cause you won't second guess yourself that's sure!

We were staying elsewhere but came here for breakfast after doing the base walk at sunrise. The food was amazing, great selection, one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had! Our morning was made even better by Tia who looked after us beautifully. She was very helpful and helped us with everything we needed with a big smile. Thank you Tia! 😊

A fantastic place close to the Uluru and Kata Tjuta. We stayed for 3 nights in the Terasse Deluxe Suite. A fantastic room, huge, 3 balconies, a wonderful bathroom. The staff is very very friendly, the dinner and the breakfast at the Ilkary Restaurant is beautiful. We recommend this hotel, its a fantastic place to explore the Uluru region.

This is a top spot to stay. Concierge desk open 24hours. Rooms are well maintained and clean. Three levels of accommodation, all joined via walkways on each level. Stairs and lift to all levels. There are three areas to dine in the hotel by the pool, at the bar and Cafe, and in the restaurant. The pool facilities look great (Winter for my visit so didn't use the pool). Bus pick ups from the front of the hotel for all types of tours. If you are doing lots of tours you won't be spending a whole lot of time in your room! Gift shop at front entrance (jewellery, prints, homeware, accessories). Staff all helpful. Would stay again.

Sails in the Desert
We are staying at Sails, really nice venue very close to Uluṟu. It’s in a small cluster of hotels, and small shopping town, 5mins outside of Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park. Restaurant, bar lobby and especially the pool after a day of trekking, all worth visiting. We had a spacious room with great views of Uluṟu, great for the sunrise. Staff really friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and dinner options, especially for an outback resort.

Very pricey, but the rooms are spacious and feature very comfortable beds. Free laundry machines and chemicals were a surprise as were the restaurant options. Many very surprising delicious meals were enjoyed here at several restaurants but also pricey. The buffet is a treat as well, but come hungry!

Amazing hotel with awesome buffet breakfast and dinner. The dinner was $90 and had everything, roasts, seafood, asian cuisines, salads, desserts and even a chocolate fountain. The oysters and pranws were huge and fresh. All washed down with a great cocktail using native ingrediants.

A brilliant experience - well worth the money even in peak seasons! A huge shout out to the staff, especially Shiva who was very helpful during our stay. We had such a lovely trip and the property, food, restaurants, staff - everything was excellent. Looking forward to another visit and referring friends and family to stay here.

Only negative I found is that the pool wasn’t heated and we were not brave enough to go into the freezing cold water. A heated pool is definitely on the wishlist.

The staff were fantastic! Shout out to Shiva, an absolute legend, who is capable of juggling anything and making it work. Also shout out to the friendly and welcoming staff in the restaurant, pool side cafe, the room service staff and the front desk staff. All patient and helpful.

With its stunning design, the hotel seamlessly blends modern comfort with the spirit of the outback. The friendly staff, delectable dining options, and proximity to Uluru make it an unforgettable experience. A perfect retreat amidst the mesmerizing Red Centre.

What a stunning place. The website doesn't do the resorts at Yulara any favours! The reception, gardens, service, rooms and people at Sails in the Desert are wonderful. The buffet breakfast is delicious. The ONLY negative is the temperature of the pool. It is freeeezing, like ice-bath cold.
Highly recommend the whole experience that is Ayers Rock Resort.

Had a great time at Sails in the Desert. Spacious, well presented room with a generous sized balcony (second storey) and large bathroom/shower.
The swimming pool and pool bar are a great way to spend some time relaxing after visiting the local sites. Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast too with all the typical offerings expected at a modern hotel. Would happily go back again.

Amazing! Loved how quiet it was. The restaurant was so good for breakfast and dinner! Great location with town square a short walk. The dune lookout also on a few minutes walk. Will definitely say again next time!
