Friendly staff , very nice ambiance and food was delicious.. they gave my son a complimentary chino and a cookie which is nice of her, sang happy birthday 🎈.

Definitely a place to dine before or after visiting the rocks.

Honestly the best food you could get around here. The staff were really nice and friendly. There is a good variety of food options, something to try every night.

The food tasted delicious and also looked very nice as well. I also liked that the kids menu could serve children up to the age of 15.

One thing is that this restaurant is very popular so it is best to get in early to avoid having to wait. They have comfortable waiting areas though.

Great food, cocktails and service. Throughout our 5 nights we enjoyed trying their breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Hands down best dining at Ayres Rock resort. Thank you!

We stayed in the Desert Garden hotel and let me tell you, we only went outside of the hotel for dinner for one of our five nights! The Mangata restaurant was absolutely amazing. The indigenous aspects of their menu was something I have never tried, and it was delicious. We got to meet most if not all of the floor staff and their friendliness was a true standout. Unfortunately I can't remember all of their names but from who I do remember Ben, Wise and Emi were lovely.

When you do go here, I highly recommend the two and three course meals, making sure to include the salt and pepper squid and kangaroo kebabs.

Also the breakfast buffet was way better than Ilkari

Absolutely loved the food we got from Mangata Bistro & Bar.
We had the Bang-Bang Cauliflower, Salt and Pepper Squid and the Native Peppered Kangaroo Kebabs.
All were perfectly cooked.
Definitely more money than the café food available in the town centre but it was worth it for something a bit more special.
Also got the Old Fashioned and Finger Lime Margarita cocktails which were a good change from beer and wine.

Excellent food and service. We had the ribs, caesar salad and steak sandwich. All great meals. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The drinks menu was relatively extensive (huge for anywhere within 1000km!). Recommended.

We had a quick bite to eat at Mangato Bistro and Bar before heading out to Field of lights. Frank the waiter was polite, friendly and professional. Beautiful bar and bistro with an intimate feeling. Food service was also quick and the coconut and chill prawns were delicious.

We were staying at the hotel and came here for breakfast first morning. It was pretty good but expensive at $42 each. Yet fairly standard for hotels and the remote location means it’s going to be pricy as everything is flown in.

Lots of other options for breakfast in the town square you will find once you are here awhile.

We went back to dinner the last night and was fabulous. Kangaroo entree, ribs main, wine and cocktails. The staff are super friendly and extra points for the local dessert!

The Bistro & Bar is located at the Desert Garden Hotel, and right next to it is ARNGULI GRILL. You will see that this restaurant and bar are one. The Staff are friendly and the food is good! They serve a Western-Style buffet breakfast from 6:30am. Kids eat for free and Teenagers get discount.

Lovely Bistro! The breakfast buffet is fabulous, offers something for everyone. I particularly liked the edamame in the salad section, stir-fry noodles and delicious real peppermint leaves and chamomile bloom teas.

Bang on Sirloin steak! Jus was sublime (means fabulous), with plenty of kipfler spuds & veggies on the plate. I didn't need extra sides & that's my only suggestions - simply state there are yummy veggies doused in a vinaigrette. The boys said the beer was the BEST draft in Uluru! Going back tonight with a big, fat tip! Staff wonderful, attentive and so knowledgeable. Thank you - best eatery in town. (ill get some images this time and repeat tasting notes for tonight)

Delightful cuisine in the red centre. Fantastic service. Beautiful deco. Highly recommended if you are staying at Ayers Rock Resort.

Everything was absolutely amazing! From the service to the food, couldn't fault anything! Highly recommend having dinner here.

I really enjoyed my time at this restaurant. The food tastes great and it's not too expensive. The staff are very friendly, especially with children. It's a good place for families. They were nice enough to give coloring sheets to my kids, which they loved. They also helped out by giving us bowls and spoons for my baby's food, making our meal even better.

Best service we received from all the places in uluru resort.

The meat is halal supplied as well.

I had the butter poached chicken and it was absolutely delicious! Really enjoyed the meal. The service was great. We wanted to eat somewhere where we had a nice sit down meal, not takeaway or one of the cafes, but also not one of the restaurants where we had to make a reservation and this fit perfectly.

By far the best place we ate during our stay here. We ate dinner here four times and all meals were thoroughly enjoyed. We enjoyed steak, chicken, pasta dishes and starter doe the adults and the children enjoy burgers, chicken and fish. Every meal was thoroughly enjoyed by each of us. Staff were through, friendly, attentive and very professional and the place had a nice and relaxed vibe. Would defiantly recommend Mangata Bistro & Bar to any one staying at the resort.
