Hope's Place

Love coming to Hope's place for the friendly country service and great food that's also very reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere if you're a local or just passing through. A great addition to Gundagai!

A little gem, a very warm welcome, home made food, great coffee. This is an unpretentious spot with a genuine welcome. Prompt service all served with a smile. A good cafe run by people who understand what good customer service means and they offer it. Sandwiches and slices were faultless.

On a recent trip from Bendigo to Sydney and return, we were sick of highway food. We decided to make a detour into Gundagai for lunch. It was well worth it. We both had fish and chips, mine with salad, and it was delicious. Hubby thought the coffee was close to perfect and I was pleased to see they had a lemon and ginger tea. Will definitely keep this place in mind next time we are in the area.
NOTE: The gardens in the town were beautiful with lots to see in town.

We were driving to Sydney from Melbourne we had a quick lunch at Hope’s Place. The service was really friendly, quick and attentive. We had our dog with us and the staff were quick to fill up a bowl of water and were happy to have us on the outdoor seating with the dog. I had a very tasty chicken chilli wrap and my better half had a chicken and avocado sandwich. Would recommend for an easy and tasty lunch!

Hope's Place is a lovely cafe right in the main street of Gundagai. It has an indoor cafe and outdoor eating area with large umbrellas. It is really clean and well looked after. The coffees are delicious as is the food. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good place to stop for a break.

Came on our way to Canberra, honestly some of the best food I’ve eaten. Not only that coming from Melbourne we were blown away by the prices of the meals. Lady even added chips on the side to my wrap. Incredible service and lovely stop. Definitely recommending

January 2019: Friendly atmosphere. We had a basic lunch of sandwiches and coffee which we enjoyed.
January 2020: Returned a year later and it was as pleasant as last time. This time we had the vegetarian focaccia.

I get food and coffee here almost every trip to gundagai I make. All made fresh to order, home made cakes and bikkies, yummy hot drinks and great service, one of the friendliest spots in town. Awesome prices too.

A popular spot for our In-laws they introduced us to this nice little cafe where we were very impressed with the service and the food was delicious and fresh. Prompt service as well.

Great breakfast home cooked meal

A cafe that doesn't serve food at 10:30am, how refreshing. The burnt coffee prepared by a novice was a nice touch.
