Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield

Great place for Astrophotography.

Beautiful country area, great place for an Airshow, great run of aerial shows, gorgeous mountains in the background, definitely no shortage of field parking, but be prepared to walk long distance to the entrance if parked far, perhaps 'more' shuttles needed for people coming from all directions. Food stalls were available, High Class Burgers were delish, fresh and hot. People were prepared to wait an hour in the long lines. Event organisers needed a lot more eateries to cater the thousands of attendees. Perhaps take your own eskies as backup for the elderly and children or any 'hangry' adults. Camp chairs is a must to bring, hat, sunscreen and insect repellent if needed.

I would have liked to have seen "more planes with their pilots" dotted around the airfield for people to view up close, then close off area for pilots to head off to take their flights. It was confined to a line up along the field 'after flying' which limited it to those already seated directly in front who could get photos. It got congested by the time people came from either side to take their shots. That could have been planned out better for all.

Otherwise a beautiful setting and entertainment.

Great friendly airfield with a credit card 100LL bowser

Amazing place. Just blown away that these little pockets exist and yet are virtually unknown. So well kept. Such a nice area and the hills behind the airfield provide a beautiful backdrop.

It was a great airshow but need more up close with the planes
