If you are a Charcoal chicken and beef burger fan, this is the place you don’t want to miss out. Food is so tasty, cook fresh in a very clean environment. I could only try only three items from the menu, I am sure the rest on the menu is equally nice. Service is very quick and friendly. All staff serves you with a smile which makes this place a home.
During my short stay, I realised they have a lot of regular customers and as well as new customers.
If you are in Rockdale area, go to this place. They have a large menu to choose so you will definitely have a pleasant food experience . Owner is very friendly and his customer service is exceptional. I will highly recommend Charcoal king to anyone. I will definitely go back again and again.

Went in today and the workers went above and beyond to make sure my food was safe to eat while pregnant. The most lovely people and the tastiest charcoal chicken, chips and gravy I’ve had in a while! Decently priced and well worth the drive. Will definitely be back. (Unfortunately I was starving and forgot to take my pics before eating😂)

Best local chicken joint. Super affordable with great family meal deals. Staff are always friendly. Often abit of a wait but that's because the place is so popular. Would reccomend!

A mid size restaurant where the chicken is cooked in sight. Flavour is on point. Suitable for family and kids. Pasta and salads 🥗 are also available. Id say it’s the best in town. Worth a drive. **closed on Mondays.

I’m a foodie and have high standards. Quite simply amongst the best charcoal chicken you will find in Sydney. The Dine in experience is great (if you like footy!!)

Incredible Garlic sauce, pickles, fresh Lebanese bread are standards in the meals.

The chicken is delectable, moist with a scrumptious marinade cooked to perfection.

A great choice of delicious salads.
This place isn’t a greasy spoon it has a wide selection of healthy clean food.

Portions are generous and priced reasonably. Service is friendly and helpful. This place is very popular because of the reputation for good honest food prepared in a clean environment cooked before you.

Everything on the menu is excellent.
If I had a complaint, it would be $4 is too expensive for a can of drink, yes it’s of minor concern but still I can’t take a point off because of the quality of the food.

I’ve read negative reviews of this place and they are complaining about service at a busy place.. ignore them, it’s nonsense. Yes the place is busy because it’s an exceptionally good place to eat.

I must confess I’m a local and this is the first food I ate moving to Rockdale 4 years ago. This place is consistently great eat in or take away.

Today I drove pass Rockdale and stop for lunch at this joint. Wow I was impressed! I tried Kafta and lamb skewers, it was the best kafta I’ve ever had. Chips were seasoned perfect and salad was fresh and worth every penny. Too bad I live close to Penrith or I will be here every day. Hopefully the owner will see this and consider opening one near Penrith 🤞.

Hands down best Charcoal Chicken in Sydney. The chicken is beautifully charcoaled, yet still unbelievably juicy on the inside. Their hot chips with their in-house spice salt is out of this world. The garlic sauce, pickles, and Lebanese bread are all top class.

Don't sleep on the amazing salad options either! We usually get the tabouleh, but other salads are all so delicious, too.

It's not the best chicken I've had as it was a bit dry, and could have done with 5mins less cooking time. But giving that to benefit of the doubt, then it's great value, came with a nice garlic sauce, pickles (a little salty) and flatbread. The chips were ok too when dipped in the garlic sauce. Service was friendly and efficient. Giving it 5 stars on overall experience. The food alone is probably a 4.

These guys are the best, I stopped in on my drive home & was happy to find something to eat, only to hear they’d closed, BUT, because they’re awesome they offered me a 1/4 chicken and salad & even let me have it free!! which was so generous of them and genuinely made a big difference to my night as I don’t know what I would have done otherwise! Thanks so much guys!! You’re the best! 😊

Best charcoal chicken I’ve ever had. Incredibly moist and tender chicken. Fresh garlic sauce, perfectly cooked and seasoned chips. This is a must have!

Chili oil sauce (very delicious )
Wagyu burger and
Sourthern fried burger no words to explain the taste.
It was a wednesday night and was crowded too.

The staff is very well taken care of for the service. Food quality is excellent and we will share it with our acquaintances and recommend it. Everything was a wonderful experience, we had a wonderful time!

I work nearby and go here for lunch quite often always extremely good food served up with even better attitude and service would highly recommend.

Always top notch, best chicken in the area by far. Good portion sizes and bread is always fresh as. Garlic sauce is awesome 👌

Love the spicy chicken wraps and hot fries. I liked the Philly cheese steak wrap but to be honest it's nothing like a Philly cheese steak (I used to live in Philly and used to eat them constantly). First Philly cheese steaks tend to be in a soft bun roll not a wrap and a genuine Philly steak has steak which is much more diced up and comes with processed American cheese (sometimes squirted on). Still to try out other stuff on the menu. Always busy with locals which is a good sign.
