I went on two trips with AAT Kings whilst staying in Uluru and honestly I could not recommend them enough. Everything is extremely well organised but the most impressive was the acknowledge the guides have of the area. They were clearly passionate about what they do and it just made the whole trip even more interesting. The Kings Canyon day trip and rim walk was outstanding and probably the unexpected highlight of my trip, despite the 4am start! It’s an absolute must do in my opinion. If you’re fit definitely do the rim walk. The first 10 minutes was the hardest but then you just enjoy the day! It was outstanding and our guide John was fantastic and clearly loves what he does.
The sunset trip to Kata Tjuṯa was also an unexpected surprise. You think this trip is all about Uluru (which is amazing of course) but this was fabulous and the colours are incredible. We had a guide who was relatively new (Renee) but again she was full of knowledge and very passionate about what she does. This has made me definitely look at AAT Kings for my next adventure which will hopefully be The Kimberley’s. A huge 10/10 from me. Thank you to everyone who made this trip so special.

We spent a couple of days visiting the Uluru-Kata Tjuta national park, and took three tours with AAT Kings: the Uluru sunrise/Kata Tjuta tour, the Uluru sacred sites/sunset/BBQ dinner tour, and the Field of Light sunrise tour. All of them were exceptional - well organised, well executed, well catered - and the tour guides were superb. They shared interesting information, and were thoughtful and attentive to all guests and their needs. We were lucky to be looked after by many members of the AAT Kings team, but special thanks go to Hayley, Lucy, Rob and Colin for looking after us so well.

Agreat day out. The 4am start is a small sacrifice for such a memorable day.Even the 3 hour bus trip to Kings Canyon was interesting, we saw camels, brumbies, and cattle, including a large bull crossing the road right in front of the bus! The buffet breakfast was excellent. Kings Canyon was spectacular! Well worth seeing.
10 out of 10 for the tour guides
A faultless effort by both of them, they were calm, polite, friendly, funny at times, always engaging . They were interesting to listen to, telling stories about the history of the area, the landscape, its people, the plants and animals that live and lived there, their knowledge of the area would have made David Attenbrough proud. Outstanding! Well done Jacob and Glen, a fantastic day out.

We love the tour from Uluṟu to Kings canyon return. Although we woke up so early at 3am, it’s worth it. We have unforgettable experiences with driver Jim and local guide Glen. They are so friendly and professional. Glen is passionate and encourages everyone in hiking. He takes care of each person. He tells us very interesting stories on the way. We have very happy and enjoyable time with them. This tour plans very well in each part. We had delicious local homemade breakfast, clean toilets, special camel burger, stunning natural views, we also see the curtains spring, another flattened rock, this tour stops here for break, it exceeded our expectations. We love this tour and the two wonderful guides Glen and Jim. Thank you all.

Wonderful Uluru Guided sunrise base walk with our 5 star guide Wils. Wils was so informative and engaging and clearly had a passion for the stories and information being shared - an awesome guide. Breakfast was simple but we were grateful for it and the rest. We found the walk well paced with plenty of opportunities to stop. Wils was also very caring about the group and there were opportunities for people to continue on the bus after breakfast as the day heated up.

The drivers are great and the buses are very comfortable and well presented.
AAT Kings also run the shuttle bus around the resort which is also run very professionally and the bus is also comfortable and clean.
Drivers Tony and Jess in particular were very professional and friendly

We have enjoyed tours at Uluru and Darwin with AAT Kings.
The tours are well organised, well planned, offer some meal options and cater to a wide range of ages and fitness levels.
The tour include travelling in the comfort of air-conditioned bus, pick-up and drop off at your accommodation, local tour guide and a guarantee to see the best places from the best visual position.
Compared to the cost of a hire car, the tours are reasonable value. The staff are very friendly and efficient. They will always attempt to make sure everyone onboard is happy.
However, you cannot place a dollar value on all the local stories, anecdotal history lessons and traditional indigenous culture, you hear from the local tour guide. You would miss this, if you were driving around.
It is certainly my favourite part of the AAT Kings adventure.

Had a lovely four hour tour of Uluṟu with our driver/guide Will who was everything you’d expect from a tour guide both knowledgeable and entertaining very enthusiastic and just a little bit corny. I would recommend this Uluṟu Sunset and sacred sites tour to everybody.

Going to Kings Canyon with AAT Kings was wonderful experience and definitely worth the money!! Oir guide Michelle told us a lot of interesting background stories along the bus drive but also knew when to let us sleep. She is very enthusiastic and does a really great job!! The breakfast was huge and there are options for everyone, meat lovers and vegans! The walk itself is very beautiful. We were lucky with the weather so it wasn't actually very strenuous at all (only 32°C) but thats probably a lot harder in summer.

Arriving in Uluru/Kata Tjuta national Park, my friends and I decided to make a trip to Kings canyon part of our trip. We were tossing up between going on the day tour with AAT Kings or hiring a car and doing it alone.
Given the cost we were considering hiring a car, however decided to invest in the trip. We had the pleasure of being guided by Jason and Dylan who really made sure that the trip was memorable and informative. Jason had us laughing the entire trip back with his stories and commentary, and they were more than happy to stop on the highway so that we could get photos of camel's, salt beds and dingoes.
The shared knowledge alone made the cost of the trip worth it, and I would highly recommend anyone considering the trip from Uluru to go with these gentlemen. Their passion for what they do, and their enthusiasm despite doing this trip many times is authentic and palpable. It was a wonderful day.

Amazing experience with our tours. All staff were great, special shout out to Jim, who not only provided safe and efficient transport & excellent service, but the stories he told of the history was entertaining and so interesting. Very knowledgeable. Smooth experience with no issues. Loved EVERY second!

We were on the Kata Tjuta & Valley of the Winds sunrise tour. AAT Kings guides are knowledgeable, professional & friendly. After a very hot walk, we were given cold wet towels which I thought was very thoughtful. The breakfast goodies bag was generous too.

We had the best experience on our day trip from Yulara to Kings Canyon with AAT! We absolutely lucked out with the DREAM TEAM made up of lead guide Glen, guide Jim, and the legendary Gerry driving us - all three really made us feel welcome and kept the whole group in great spirits throughout a long day. Glen was absolutely awesome, and went above and beyond in leading the tour. He was so enthusiastic in sharing his incredible knowledge of the canyon with us, but above all else, you could tell that he really cared about making sure every single person had an awesome time - he’s an absolute asset to the AAT team, as are Gerry and Jim, and we are so thankful to them for making our tour a memory we will treasure forever. Palya!

We had a great tour to Kings Canyon, with Glen our guide and Frank our driver. They both made the day really special. Well done guys.
My only real criticism of the company was that their pre-tour literature didn't make it clear, to people like us, who are not used to hiking in these conditions, how much water we would need, while on the hike. So we had to buy expensive water on the way.
For anyone considering hiking in the Uluru area, we were very strongly advised to carry 1 litre per hour, as a minimum (the tour we went on was 3 hours, therefore 3 litres each, minimum)!
