Ayers Rock Airport

Nice little airport... I arrived from Melbourne and quickly got my luggage. Then I could take the shuttle directly to the resort. On the way back, I arrived again with the bus. The return flight was the only one at that time, and the plane wasn't full. Nevertheless, two counters were open, so the luggage drop-off was super quick. At security, I "won" the extra explosives test. Well, I was traveling with a really full camera backpack... The whole process was handled professionally. The security check took longer because of this, but since there was no queue, it was still faster than at most airports.

In summary, an efficient and friendly airport that is well organized despite its size.

Really nice staff, all smiles and very helpful. They get you in and out quickly. Nice viewing area while waiting for your flight and decent little cafe.

A beautiful tourist attraction that millions wish to visit. Praise be to Almighty God who let me visit it and see it with the naked eye in 2019.
The rock, it seems to me, is a group of rocks that were covered by sand at the bottom of the sea when this area of Australia was diving into the depths of the ocean millions of years ago. And when the area rose and emerged above the land, the sand solidified, forming one huge rock.

Can see why people are complaining so much, the airport is small indeed, but it took us 5 minutes from the bag drop to the boarding area. Also this might be the kindest airport staff I have ever encountered!

By Central Desert Region standards, Ayers Rock Airport (Connellan Airport) is very clean, tidy and well appointed. However, compared to larger regional airports you may find it lacking in some aspects. Please note, it's based on my one visit so your experience may be different from mine.

Five stars for courteous staff, good quality food and a wide range of beverages, clean toilet facilities and a tidy airport lounge.

People always think that if you visit Uluru, you must fly to Alice Springs. However, there is a small airport here! you can fly from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Amazing, well kept and very professional

Very clean airport with excellent staff. We had a massive delay. 2 flight loads of people to manage. However, the restaurant and ground staff were very patient and helpful... kudos to their work ethics.

Whilst the airport is small and can take a while if there are busy flights departing at the same time, I wanted to point out that the staff here are really amazing and rally to the occasion.
I fly frequently through this airport for work with groups of people, and I’d love to give a shout out to Ebony who has on the last four occasions been outstanding in customer service and ability to keep cool under pressure.

With flight delays, cancelled flights and stressed out and demanding passengers, she still manages to delivery a smile and incredible service. Give her a promotion!
The rest of the staff also incredible but she has been the standout and I always look forward to seeing her friendly face.

Yes we all know airports can be a drain, but that’s when the staff make all the difference!

Nice little Regional Airport with domestic flights and heli port.

Anyone giving this airport fewer than 5 stars is either insane or an ignorant tourist. This airport is amazing. Check-in and security take 5 minutes. You can bring drinks with you. The gate is a large area with loads of seats, views, a gift shop, and cafe. Yeah if you expected Qantas first class lounge you’ll be sad, but for a tiny strip of asphalt in the desert this airport is great.

Ayres Rock Helicopter tours was brilliant, sunrise was awesome. highly recommend.

Great little airport in the middle of nowhere. Cafe that sells snacks, wine and beer, modern clean and functioning toilets, well stocked gift shop with souvenirs cheaper than at the resort shops. Ok, it may not have a Burger King, Airline Lounges, butterfly house or onsen. But it has an efficient check in, almost no queues, comfortably air-conditioned, quite a few power points if you need to charge while waiting for your plane, friendly staff and none of the angst that envelopes you at most other airport experiences.

Straight off the plane, easy baggage pick up. Nice and clean.

The coolest place to sit is around the corner. If your flight is delayed contact airline directly for assistance. AATKing drivers were happy to take us back to the resort and ask for vouchers at airport for drink/food if delayed.

Small functional airport, but there's a free bus to the Ayers Rock Resort, which makes travelling around super easy and means you can avoid the cost of hiring a car! Great idea :)

Fastest check in & security process we've had in a VERY long time! Easy & free parking.
