Walpa Lobby Bar

Nice place to relax and chat after 12kms, 4hrs, 17500 steps hiking around Uluru. Food was great. Beef tenderloin, cheeseburgers, and club sandwich. Taste at par with the best hotel restaurants i’ve been in the past.

Food and drinks were decently priced for the location. Had a burger on another night which was pretty tasty. Would definitely recommend trying their desserts!

We had a great experience today at Waḻpa, we had two kids ham and cheese toasties. Was pretty good. Chips were delicious.

The highlight about our experience today was Deqlon (I believe that’s how his name is spelt). He was our waiter, he provided the best service we have ever had. He was the kindest and most polite person. Very switched on and managed all tables in a timely manner. I hope this review gets back to him as he deserves the recognition.

I want to give a big ‘thank you’ to the chef for my mushroom gnocchi tonight, it was absolutely delicious. And my mom wants to say ‘thank you’ for her oxtail as well. We really enjoyed the food, the service from the staffs and dining environment at Walpa. We will come back for the deserts soon!

A chill place to relax at uluru. Could do a bit better on the range of food available, especially because Sails room service comes out of the bar. A midnight munchies menu would be fabulous, with toasties, nachos, pizzas etc.

I was surprised how much of a nice experience I had here. (Considering some of the reviews)
I had a couple of waiters help me (one to the table straight away) and another went to check on how long was the wait on food, and if they had any vegan meals left.
The restaurant was pretty busy, but you could still hear the music. It was really clear who was the manager on the floor. A gentlemen of an Indian decent. He was very professional, focused and visible to quickly help his stuff or take an order if they were busy.
The food came out actually quickly, 10-15 min, just like they said.
The menu has multiple vegan options and even a vegan dessert!
It was good, and I actually though the price was ok too.

Great place for lunch, relaxing and yet comfortable. The food is good and love their tapas such as potato prawns and calamari. Service is top notch as well, with complimentary water provided

Tapas + Wine were a great combo, and much cheaper than the buffet. If you're not after a big meal, but Tapas that were generous and filled me up, then Walpa is the way to go sitting near the bar.

Great range of cocktails, beers, wines and mocktails. Also have a selection of tea and coffee, although I haven’t tried those options.
Cocktail recommendation: their signature cocktail, the lemon myrtle martini.

Perfect experience here. Each morning during our stay I'd grab takeaway coffees, with the service fast, friendly and the coffee excellent each and every time. Really nice spot to sit down as well, and soak in the atmosphere. Located in the lobby of Sails hotel you can't go wrong. Well done to all the sails team!

Considering this place is in the middle of the desert, there's nothing to complain about.

Yes, there's limited amount of options on the menu, BUT people come to this place for couple of days only so I don't see it as such a problem.
I had a cheeseburger 5*, oxtail pasta 5*, Mushroom Gnocchi 4*(a bit cold and soggy), Papaya salad 2*(just not my taste), the buffet breakfast 5*(very friendly for people with all type of diets).

Staff there is absolutely amazing, always smiling and the place is overall very pleasant to be in.
Prices are high, but I would not expect anything else from the remote place

We went to this restaurant on the night of the 14tth of April 2023. Great dinner Buffet. We have allergies to gluten and dairy so the charismatic chef came out and walked us around the buffet explaining what we could and couldn't eat. He organised gluten free pasta for the kids and there were a few delicious things we could eat. Very impressed and if you have allergies you can eat here. If you do or don't have allergies it is a nice buffet.

We had the Walpa dinner buffet for my birthday. It was worth the price. Great Srilanka chef, great variety, loved the experience. Highly recommend.

Amazing, place, food, drinks and service!
We have been 3 times and thinking to go again tonight! The waygu beef burger,the salt and pepper calamari, the curries....are all delicious!the best thing though is that they suit the menu for gluten intolerants!

Very busy bar, great service, all the staff are so friendly, light menu available which we used on 2 occasions, food was delicious, great place to sit and relax after your day of sightseeing
