Avis Car & Truck Rental Ayers Rock Airport

It’s my first time to rent a car and surprisingly, the process was easy. I made a reservation via online and went over to pick up the key and car in the airport. The lady in charge was concise, informative, and very helpful. We originally booked for 3 days and realized that we won’t be needing the car anymore, we called the airport hotline on Saturday but the person in charge is on day off. After few minutes she called and explained the terms to us. So sadly, we can’t return the car, but we were delighted that she called us and explained everything. The car was decent but the only thing we are curious about is, we were given a hybrid car, and, in our understanding, this won’t consume a lot of gas, but it did. Overall, we love it and will surely use Avis again in the future.

Rented a car online from Avis. The person at the counter was very kind and super helpful with directions and instructions.
The vehicle was as expected. Clean, new, and fuel efficient.
Would certainly use this Avis location again if given the chance.

I simply have to write this review. It's very important to pre book your car, from any rental car agency, at Uluru, due to the location and limitations of that location. It is in the middle of the desert, so supply is limited. We reserved our car weeks in advance. Don't expect to get a car on arrival.

When we arrived, the service we received once there was second to none. Fran went above and beyond to ensure we had the most phenomenal stay. Something no one should expect from a rental car company. She went above and beyond.

Our car was fuelled, impeccably cleaned (remember it is in the desert), highly fuel efficient and everything was explained clearly.

When leaving, our return flight had to be redirected back, just before it landed, which lead to a very long day, with our flight home finally leaving 9 hours later. Fran was available and helped throughout, not only with the car, but also with finding out more information about the flight.

A quick and easy and very customer friendly experience of dropping off the car after a few days rental. Our plane out was a couple of hours delayed and we were offered the possibility of keeping the car to catch the last sights in the area. Very appreciated.

Fran went above and beyond her responsibilities to overcome our hotel to airport transportation dilemma to pick up the rental car when shuttles were cancelled due to flight changes. She is highly commended for her customer service.

Some bad reviews, don’t understand why? Friendly, service when i arrived. Had the car within 5mins, drop was fast and efficient and wasn’t charge any extra. (I had photos of the car incase something happened, always better to cover yourself when hiring a car.)

Fantastic little airport with a wonderful view of the Uluru when touching down (if you are on the correct side of the plane) Plenty of information there if you want tours or getting around. Not much competition so no need for shopping around. You will love this aboriginal land.

Small, 1 or 2 gate airport, serving the Ayers Rock Resort. Friendly staff all around. There is a small cafe with some food options past security if you need to grab a bite to eat before your flight.
