What a fabulous time we had at Ayers Rock Resort.
The experiences were amazing. The staff were very approachable and helpful, full of information and advice, so we got the most from our stay. We were close to town square, which was great. The free activities were very informative.
I was contacted by the resort 2 weeks before we got there to see what we had planned, so we did not miss out on anything. Things book out quickly this was a great service.
Palya to all. ❤😘

My first experience at Ayres Rock Resort was underwhelming to say the least. We were given the opportunity to return and to say it was a complete turn around doesn't give enough credit to the management or staff!
The experiences we had, the care, professionalism and friendliness of staff, being able to see the trainees being supported and taught properly, having guides that were incredibly passionate about what they were talking about, even the wonderful circle bus driver making sure we had our room key so we could get beers at the pub, all went towards a very special holiday.
I'm looking forward to returning to see the full drone show (we saw a practice run....yes, this review is long overdue) and to take my friends and family to enjoy what is such a very special place.

Happy polite staff. Dated buildings. Clean rooms/facilities. Pool floor has bubbles makes spongy walking in places good fun. No cash. 9%surcharge each time.
A case of been there done that.

Best place to stay for your trip to Uluru. Hotels are suitable for all budgets from five stars to self-catering. Use the local airport, prices include transfer to airport. Overall, the resort can do with some TLC. Shuttles are available but at a cost. Nothing is free! There are a lot of flies, so bring a face net. You can buy them at tte resort.

My husband and I loved our stay here to see Uluru. It was a wonderful experience in Australia’s Red Centre.

Yulara is pretty much an entire “town” exclusively owned and operated by this company - airport included - so it’s a very controlled experience from beginning to end. HOWEVER, I mean this in a very positive sense. It is a great way to experience the outback for persons of all ages, backgrounds, and traveller comfort levels. We are the type of traveller that hate cruises and all-inclusive self-contained resorts, for example, but loved this experience. It’s one I would be happy to take my elderly parents to enjoy, or see families with children take. It’s fully guided but not oppressively so. Everything runs well, from airport transfers, to dining options, to tours. No confusion, no stress.

We stayed at the DESERT GARDENS and based on feedback from other travelers on excursions, I think a ROCK VIEW ROOM there is the way to go. I posted a video of our room on YouTube (which doesn’t really show how nice the view of Uluru is to the human eye). Sails in the Desert has the best lobby and more remodeled baths, but doesn’t have the views that Desert Gardens offers. For the best in room view, book there for sure. But all in all, each accommodation offers the same experience (Outback Lodge excepted, which is more separate).

The breakfast buffet was very good and exceeded my expectations. The local IGA was good for takeaway snacks and drinks, and the prices and selection for local art on site was just as good as the park cultural centre itself. All of the staff were lovely. The tour guides were exceptional.

We did several bookings, and the SOUNDS OF SILENCE dinner was our favorite. A high recommendation. Jack with the Desert Awakenings was a great guide as well.

We would definitely recommend this location even if it is a monopoly for accommodations at Uluru/Kata Tjuta. It doesn’t feel that way and still offers a great experience.

Nice resort to stay at. It would be nice to have more information in rooms around tours, I understand you can go to the tour desk but some info in the room would be good.

The resort has a good layout with a shopping center which includes a grocery store. We stocked up on water and snacks as well as bought some hats. We stayed at Sails in the Desert and enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet. I was very glad that they brought ice to the room with no charge. Room service does come with an $8 trip fee, but if you didn't get snacks at the grocery store then it's wonderful to have the option in the middle of the night.

What a lovely stay. We stayed in the partial Rock view room and it was amazing. Friendly staff well appointed rooms plenty of activities to partake in and child minding which we used. We’ve never used child minding before and we were nervous to of course but the minute I met Denise, I just knew I could trust her. She was lovely patient and accredited in cpr and first aid, and she got our son to sleep before 8p. Sorry but this review is for Denise now, thank you so much for taking such good care of our son, the trip wouldn’t have been the same without you.

Okay. Really, the only reason you stay here is if you are visiting the Australian outback and visiting Uluru. For the middle of the outback, this is a great place. The pool is great, but not a lot of shaded areas - bring sunscreen. You may need to ask for service at the bar/restaurant, but you don't have a lot of options, so just deal with it.

WOW! What can I say. I have a medical condition at the moment which requires a special diet. We contacted the resort about 6 months out from our travel, as it had been booked well in advance, asking if they could help. They did not hesitate to accomodate my requirements, without their accomodating our needs I would have had to cancel the trip. They didn’t go above and beyond, they went to the very next level. Upon arrival Executive Chef Alexander met with me and my wife, he went over the entire menu he’d prepared for me for our entire stay. Throughout the whole week they kept checking in and making additional special arrangements, packed breakfasts and lunch for our day trips, arranged special food to be sent to our dinners and trips away from the resort. The wait staff also were made aware of my needs and fell over themselves to make our stay not just possible but so enjoyable. I can’t thank the resort and their team enough it was truly amazing. Next time we return we won’t hesitate to book there again. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sails in the Desert the best choice of accommodation out of 5 hotels. Largest Caravan camping ground in the Southern Hemisphere also at the resort

Our first time visiting Uluṟu, and the experience was made spectacular thanks to Tomasi, Leighton, Freddie, Lo, Iosefe, Michaell just to name a few. We have come home missing their beautiful faces. All the staff were incredibly accommodating especially when we got our booking mixed up on our second last day. Managed any requests we had with no hesitation. There were no issues in helping us. The system they have in place ensuring you get to where you need to be, everything just works. Seamlessly. I know the team works hard to ensure this, and just wanted to say we are grateful.

The food at Ilkari is exceptional as are the other food spots on the resort. The serenity to unwind, connect, learn and explore. We appreciated the care and respect that goes into the tours, and appreciated learning about Aṉangu culture. We felt very welcome. We have returned home enriched with knowledge and cannot wait to return again. Thinking of you all and thanking you

An amazing place for our 1st week of our honeymoon 💜 Loads of history here just waiting for you to discover. Go on as many tours as you can fit in, that way appreciation sets in. Once I actually heard lots of stories I connected on a deep level. So much appreciation now. Thanking you 💜💚🤍

Loved this place!! The room didn’t have a window which I thought would really bother me but it wasn’t an issue as the decor was modern, super clean and it felt spacious. We spent most of our time exploring the incredible surrounding area so for a place to rest your head, and a great pool, this place is perfect. Expensive yes for what it is but that’s to be expected in Uluru and totally worth it to experience this incredible place. 2 minute walk to the shops as well!
