My review focussed on breakfast as Bough House is not open for dinners any longer. First of all I’d like to mention the staff: it is a most pleasant atmosphere, created by Bulou, Makelesi, Lanny, Paul and Peter, they are always so very friendly and attentive, it is a pleasure just to walk in and be greeted with a friendly smile. I always get a great coffee there and the breakfast is a feast and it’s hard not to gorge on more than I should. The baked beans have a delicate taste with lots of herbs, the eggs are made to perfection, baked tomatoe with cheese is delicious and all food is fresh and appetisingly displayed. If only the aircon would be less cold but it’s besting the staff’s control and I can wear something to help that. Great place!

Had the most wonderful night at the Bough House Resturant and Bar tonight. Buffet food was plentiful and a great selection of entrees and deserts. Yummy food, compliments to the chef. Our waiter - Paul was really lovely and gave us such great service, and only too happy to chat and take photos too. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Was unsure which restaurant to go to when visiting Uluṟu. Luckily we chose Bough House restaurant. Food was of a high standard but what made the difference was the professionalism and friendliness of our waiter Paul. He excelled in all areas and made our dining experience exceptional.
Thank you.

Very impressed. Buffet included soup, salads, veggies, pasta/noodle/rice salads, amazing desserts, cheese platter and tea/coffee. Spit roast was delicious, we had the pork and it came with lovely roast potatoes and hot veggies. Lovely staff, nice atmosphere. $48 very reasonably priced considering the cost of other restaurants in the area. Difficult to find, it is right at the back of the Outback pioneer restaurant, hidden around the corner near the toilets.

Couldn't be happier with this restaurant! Wonderful food and amazing service! We received our food quickly and the staff were all very professional. Thank you to the lovely Renee for looking after us so well. Being a Vegan with food allergies makes it usually hard when eating out but Renee and the lovely chefs went over and beyond to cater for me which was such a lovely surprise. I am very glad we made the decision to go to Bough House Restaurant.
Thank you!

We were so lucky to rock up on the same night they were trialling their new menu. My partner is coeliac so seriously gluten free (not trendy gf) and our 21 month old baby is a happy playing toddler. We were asked if we wanted to sit near the Kid Zone, which of course we did. There were puzzles and blocks and cars for her to amuse herself with, and it looked like fancy computer games if you had older kids. We were well out of the way from the childless diners and therefore felt relaxed and comfortable from the get go.
The menu was great, we first thought we'd just splurge on the two courses for $38, but after seeing the buffet dessert we felt the extra $5 was worth it. The entree and dessert are self service buffet, but it's really the mains that are the stand outs! We ordered the barramundi at the waiters (Jayesh - a really great waiter) recommendation, and the kangaroo- both (we share our dishes) were superbly cooked and divinely sauced (if that is a word?); and were able to be made gluten free. We also bought some sparkling wine, which wasn't cheap, but for prices up here, wasn't bank breaking either. We also had great attentive service from Toby and Logan. Toby especially made a point of looking after the kid zone even though we had promised to tidy our small hurricanes block mess.
Lastly, the chefs (Haylee and Tom, I believe; I asked Toby to jot down everyone's name) were fabulous at accommodating to our gluten free diets, so much so, that when I asked about what dessert was gf for my partner, (even though there was a few more basic options) they bought out a special gf dessert they had left over from somewhere... Obviously that may not be common practice.
All in all, the bill was a splurge, but it was not ridiculous. And it was definitely worth it... How often are you going to find a fancy, fresh, family friendly, and great service restaurant, minutes after watching the most incredible sunset over Uluru? Thank you everyone (even those not personally mentioned) for a great night!

Welcome steak was seasoned perfectly and medium to rare which I enjoyed
Everything else on plate was so full of flavour, service is exceptional and the vibe is nice too. Looking forward to my next meal there actually.

All you can eat breakfast is fantastic! The coffee in a mug tastes great, and I'm fussy with my coffee too.

Bad reviews don’t know why? For the location and price it’s incredible. Literally, in the middle of australia and you can eat fresh and well made food.
