Extremely delicious country style cakes! Couldn't believe how reasonable the prices were and how generous the sizes were. In Sydney I would have gotten one cake for the price I paid for these 2. Everyone at the party raved about both cakes, and even the savory treats (sausage rolls and meat pies!) were absolute treats! Highly recommend and will always return when I am in the mountains!

Cute bakery in the area. I came to this place from a google maps search and you could literally smell the bakery from the road. I purchased the veggie curry pie which was very mild and delicious and I think it cost $9.90 but it’s a big pie. All of the options looked great. The seating area is good maybe more tables and chairs would be good as it does seem to be a popular place for the locals.

What a gem of a place! The amount of customers there when we arrived and the constant stream of people coming and going whilst we were there is testament to how popular this lovely little Bakehouse is. And with good reason! Absolutely the BEST pies I have had for as long as I can remember
I had the Pumpkin Lentil and Feta pie (no I'm not vegetarian and I absolutely LOVED this!) We also got the Beef Cheese and Bacon and 2 Steak and Gravy
Please do yourself and your tastebuds a favour and stop in at this gorgeous bakery with their lovely staff, delicious foods and amazing hot drinks (The Dirty Chai was to die for!) Can't wait to come back again
Side note there is a 15% surcharge on Sundays

Delicious pie and desert. Will definitely go again when I revisit this area.

Pies and sausage rolls are very nice. Sausage roll was real mince, almost like a rissole with onions, very moist and very good. Pepper steak pie was a good amount of pepper and chunky steak. Vegan chilli bean had chunks of capsicum and beans with a nice filling (pic of inside during eating... it was good!). All of the above I can recommend.
Chocolate brownie on the other hand I suggest to skip. It was dry and floury and not very nice. But you win some lose some. The pies and sausage roll are definitely worth going back to try more varieties.
Staff were friendly with very fast service even though they were busy.
Parking is street parking so you may need to walk a bit.
Prices are a little expensive on face value but after tasting I would say its fair value.
Happily recommend.

When you come from the UK and your main source of baked goods is Greggs, it’s easy to impress, but we had two cakes from here and they were indisputably amazing…highly recommend the berry frangipani tart and the lemon custard cruffin. Delicious.

It was soooo good, as well as the coffee. Customer service was great. I came on a Wednesday so I did not cope the surcharge, however... pretty sure other small business in small towns put the surcharge on public holidays and sundays so really nothing new!

Have to admit being taken aback at the price at $8.50@, but the previous reviews ensured a purchase and we weren't disappointed. Pies are larger than regular and the pastry and fillings were delicious. We had Vegetable Curry and Pumpkin and Lentil. Yum!

Great pies - both sweet and savoury.
The macadamia tart was standout!

I cannot adequately articulate the pure ecstasy that is the Tandoori Chicken Pie. Do yourself a favour and avoid the paralysing array of choice by going straight for the tandoori. I will dream of this pie. It will haunt my every baking endeavour to know that I shall never achieve the succulent success of this crusted wonder.

Pies were really good, the curry vege pie was beautiful. Sausage roll was top tier. Pork pie was good. Cheese and bacon was yummy.

Iced coffees and hot chocolate also very nice 👍🏾

Wow ! Had read about Bakehouse on Wentworth and hoped it was as good as a review I had read-
I was certainly not disappointed !
Had the Lamb curry pie ! Delicious indeed ! Quite large and full of meat that melted in your mouth.
Not cheap but worth every penny.
Decided to go back the next day and buy another one plus a lemon tart ( oh yes!) and a pear frangipani tart - both scrumptious . Make sure you visit this great bakery next time you’re in Blackheath- A very happy and satisfied customer !

This Bakery is my absolute favourite in Australia. All the pies are good but I highly recommend the chicken and leak or the pumpkin and lentil. You can also take uncooked pies home to cook at a later time.

Wow! These pies are amazing, great pastry and filled out filling. I highly recommend this place to anyone driving by on a roadtrip and pick a pie up to try. It’s so good. We had the chicken and spiced pork, I will have to come back to try all their different pies!

Stopped here for a pie after our hike, it was incredible!! I got the curry mince for $6.90. It was so good I had to get a second one 😅. If you like pies / sausage rolls / baked goods etc and you’re in the area (or even if you’re not in the area), this place is definitely worth a visit.

Pies are so delicious and hearty, pastry is crunchy and light and with such a variety of different fillings there will definitely be a pie that will satisfy your cravings!

Have had plenty of pies but hands down one of my favourites - this one is the lamb, rosemary and garlic! Enjoyed it that much forgot to take a photo at the beginning 😀

Good food but the 10% on a sunday and $10 minimum on eftpos is a little archaic. I can understand surcharges on a public holiday. And $10 on eftpos doesnt allow people to get an early morning coffee.

The building is great, well set out and the dining areas clean and inviting.

Everything looks fresh and welcoming

We had 3 of the pies. The egg and bacon tart was a little hit and miss.
Pepper steak and Lamb, Rosemary & Garlic pies were great.

Recommended by Blue Mountains locals & our taxi driver - the best pie shop! Delicious and tasty, quite expensive but they’re quality and you won’t find food like this elsewhere. Have tried the bacon and cheese pie, as well as the curry beef. Will be back for more!
