Delicious & affordable Vietnamese in the middle of Paddington. We came here early Sunday evening and they had tables available for walk ins both inside and outside.

Lots of gluten free options and the food came quickly. Not BYO but lots of options for drinks.

One of the best surprises I've had in a very long time. I came here expecting a mediocre, suburban restaurant but Mr T is so much more.

It is admittedly expensive, but offers fine-dining quality dishes at a fraction of the price. The food draws on a range of asian cuisines and fuses them in such a way that the flavours swirl around your mouth long after you've finished eating.

I can't wait to come back!

One of the best restaurants in Sydney. The food was not only artistic, but amazingly beautiful. Every mouthful was one of those "close your eyes, and prey it never ends" ... The waiters were both knowledgeable and super friendly. Just a great experience overall. We showed up an hour early and with a puppy - and they responded instantly with "No problem, we will sort it out, give us 2 minutes..." As I walked out, they thanked me by name which is always nice (the fact they checked the name on my credit card, and remembered and thanked me was just another example of their amazing service).

Tuesday night. 730 arrival. We didn't have a booking. Very accommodating for 2 people to sit outside. Lovely service.
Asked about water and drinks.
We ordered salt and pepper Tofu, duck pancakes and pork belly kimchi buns. Tapioca pudding for dessert. Enough for 2 people for a snack/ light dinner
Asked the server for advice on the third dish and they gave good suggestions taking into consideration what we had already ordered and if we wanted something light or heavy.
We also ordered a glass of wine each.
Food was delivered to the table all together as ordered and presented beautifully.
Food was fresh and flavourful. Smaller portions but worth the price. The duck pancakes were a little deconstructed for my liking but tasty still.
Gave good explanantion of meals and checked in on our needs.. I very much enjoyed this.
We were not rushed and were the last to leave. Highly recommend for a casual meal.

Modern Asian flavours executed really well. The crispy Vietnamese pancake was the stand out highlight, but all the food was great. Check out the specials as they have some great gems there. Service was attentive and helpful. Seating is a little squishy, but that shouldn’t be a deterrent.

Lovely little restaurant close to Five Ways. BYO on Tuesdays. We went on a Monday at is was relatively quiet. Great food - we had the Peking duck pancakes and salt and pepper soft shell crab to start - both were delicious! For mains we had the Wagyu beef and the crispy pork belly - even better! Some nice wines by the glass! Highly recommended.

Just Wow! Mr T is the kind of place locals don't want to tell you about in case it means they can't get a table next time. An absolute fresh flavour explosion with every mouthful set in a cute space with great lighting and attentive, friendly and knowledgeable service.
Plenty of considered veggo dishes had me more than satisfied and my dining companions raved about the rest of the menu, there was a consensus that the pho was the best they'd ever had (and that includes whilst travelling Vietnam!) The spiced tofu, yellow curry and wok tossed morning glory were stand outs for me but it's safe-to-say the whole menu is amazing.
My favourite Yulli's brews beers being on offer was the icing on the cake to this excellent experience. Thank you Mr T, I'll be back (and sorry locals for giving up your secret spot!).

Beef phó very yummy. The bassa beer on tap was also splendid! Service was amazing too, so polite and friendly. Would recommend booking a table.

A gem of a place...apart from loving the light shades😁... The quietness of the seating space and gentle wait staff allowed us to thoroughly enjoy a lunch of Beef vermicelli salad with the best tasting pork spring rolls (ever) Flat rice noodle stir fry, Banh mi (veg) and tasty Morning glory (stir fry)...fresh and delicious fare👍

Delicious food and kids lived it too. Melt in your mouth slow cooked beef. Light and tasty spring rolls. Lovely atmosphere with very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

So good! Excellent food, highly recommend the eggplant, wagu beef, and the duck pancakes. Service is spot on. Went there for my sister’s birthday and ordered the dessert asked if they had candles. They didn’t, but one of the wait staff went to the nearby Woolworths metro and bought some! Absolutely wonderful night with great service and delicious food. Highly recommend!

Best Vietnamese restaurant I have been too.

Just got home with my beautiful fiancee after eating at a near by Vietnamese Place called Mr T. It was nothing short of mind blowing.
A small place but full of people enjoying the best food you can imagine, it was that good. We started with a entree of salt and pepper Soft shell crab that was gluten free. The taste and texture of this meal was out of this world. An explosion of flavour. The for main we ordered the Gluten free Duck and Pork Belly with rice and stir fried Choko's . Every mouthful was just amazing. Never been here before but we will certainly be back and I am sure many times.
The service was also first class and all done quickly but not to quick with the meals spaced out appropriately.

Can't recommend this place highly enough. If you are in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney do yourself a favour and go to Mr T's.

I can't say enough good things about Mr T restaurant. We turned up without a booking. They were able to accommodate us, but only with an inside table, as the outside ones had all been reserved. No problem - the food sounded great, so we were keen to sit inside and try. After 2 mins sitting inside, the lovely staff managed to rearrange the outdoor tables and setup a table for two for us, which was AMAZING - it was the most beautiful evening in Paddington and it was beautiful to sit outside.
We ordered a few menu items, eg pork/chicken buns, dumplings, yellow curry, pho and dessert. Everything was super fresh and delicious - we really loved it. We had been staying in sydney for about 10 days and this was the last meal of our trip. We had eaten at some fancy / expensive restaurants during our sydney visit, but sitting outside on the lovely evening, eating the delicious food was the highlight of our trip. Thanks for your lovely service team. We will definitely be back next time we're in sydney.

I have been to this restaurant several times and yes the food is amazing, probably the best Vietnamese in Sydney. However, my partner and I both have been served by a gentleman by the name of Lincoln who’s service is absolutely outstanding.
I have worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years and a character like Lincoln’s is one in a million. Thank you for making each and every visit to Mr T’s memorable, they don’t make many like you anymore!

This place is great, the Kim chi buns are fantastic ... Both of them! Service is nice, there's not really any parking out front, but at a stretch you can get a spot nearby if you don't mind a bit of a walk. You can eat inside or out which is nice on the warmer nights.
