Homebush West Public School

This school is the reason we have not left the area. The opportunities my child has experienced, not to mention the values and effort the teachers put in to the students is second to none. I live locally and see the teachers leaving late at night, working weekends and during school holidays, they go above and beyond. Awards night showcases the exhausting list of activities the children participate in throughout the year and there is a reason this school has regular visits from ministerial delegates because you could not find a better public school in NSW. We are a vibrant multicultural community who are apartment dense, the opportunities for our children to play outdoors, participate in sport and get moving is a blessing for most families I am sure. Couldn't be prouder to be a part of this community and HWPS is the hub.

A wonderful school with the best teachers and learning environment.
Our son had wonderful years from 2016-2020 and had some great achievements because of the encouraging and positive environment for all over growth in student's personality. Would certainly recommend to anyone who are looking for good school in the area.

I love this school as it has fantastic furniture and lots of amazing resources. The school has a brand new building which is fantastic. This school deserves a five star rating!!!

Football is life

-Learning procedure are terrible. (They all learn the same thing every year)
-They spend more time focusing kids to go on activities then doing hard work.
-They like to go for the money (As in charging for he activities rather than work).
-They don't specify things clearly leading students to making mistakes and the teachers blaming on them.
-Even in the pandemic they set out covid restrictions, yet they don't follow it themselves.
(80% of year 6's went to camp with only 1 bus, they don't social distance in class, they let stages crossover a lot.) These are some examples and rules they've set out themselves.

The only good things about this school is the environment and spaces.

They spend more time for activities than real learning.
Online learning and books less homework also put students at risk of developing eyesight problems and also poor hand writing skills.

Mostly it seems they are focusing how to earn money out of the parents compared to Homebush Public School.
