Blackheath Bakery Patisserie

Whenever we go through Blackheath we always stop at this bakery. Have done for years. Great sourdough and pies as well as sweet treats.

Best rye wholemeal in Sydney, but they don't bake it every day:(

This is the original sourdough shop that made sourdough famous. I have been coming for 20 years and the quality is always supremely high. The chocolate cake and financier are out of this world divine and the brown rice turnovers and veggie pies are a must. You can't leave without the best sourdough still on the mountains if not in Sydney. We travel up from Sydney often just for the bread! You need to get here before lunch for a full selection because the shop is incredibly popular.

Best pies in the Blue Mountains. By far.

The meat pies are so so so good. The pastry that they use is perfectly flaky. Highly recommend. I'll definitely be stopping over at this bakery every time I pass by.

We stop at this bakery every time we're in Blackheath. The sourdough is the best we've had. My husband always has two pies & sausage rolls, then buys more to take home. Pastries are delicious.

Our family of five go through a loaf or two of this sourdough every day. Great, chewy, dense bread with a good crust. We usually buy the wholemeal varieties and the pumpkin or potato bread as a treat. The squishy rhubarb cake is always a hit too.

It was a great find while visiting. We bought the pies that were great and a loaf of sourdough that won't disappoint.

Great customer service. The bacon and cheese pies are delicious, beautiful buttery pasterary. Have gone there many times and have never been dissatisfied. Great pricing for food. I also like that they have an option for drinks. No coffee or tea though but soda and water.
110% will be going back.

This little bakery is open early so if you are heading west up the Blue Mountains the pies are excellent here. My fav being meat pies, the pastry is flakey, yum and the various filling are perfect so tasty and your taste buds are excited when entering into this bakery. take a drive up the road abit and find a spot to stop and chill with your fa pie or pastry.
Pick up a loaf of bread as well, a wide selection available and you will be smelling bread and pastry for the rest of the day.

Delicious pies! Chocolate truffle cake is amazing. Very nice sourdough. Even lack of eftpos doesn't drop this below 5 stars!

Picked up a dark, chewy and robustly flavoured rye/wheat sourdough loaf today. Whole wheat flours in a well-made sourdough usually provide robust flavour. Enjoyed a fabulous apple turnover.

Always a fantastic experience here. Old school sourdough bakery with great products. Be sure to try the brown rice turnover or chocolate truffle cake.

Magnificent! Loved the pumpkin loaf and the sour dough. Also loved the service! In fact that was almost better than the bread, but not quite, the bread was fantastic.

I won't travel over the mountains without stopping here. The pies and sausage rolls are some of the best you will ever eat.
