Stay Upright Rider Training Botany

Did a Motorcycle Learner x 2 day course at Stay Upright Botany. Our instructor was Sam - and he was excellent! Friendly, engaging and above all his sheer experience and advice was truly impressive. Thank you Sam.

A friend and I just completed our Provisional Course and passed our MOST with flying colours. I have always had very friendly and capable instructors who make the session enjoyable. From our Learner two day sessions, to the Range to Road session (Paul W) and recently Ted who took us on the provisional and MOST. I would highly recommend these guys at Botany.

I went in today feeling very anxious for my pre-provisional course and MOST, and left feeling accomplished and assured thanks to my instructor, Paul!!!!

He was the perfect balance of witty and stern, and was very meticulous in covering the curriculum. Paul generously provided each student personalised feedback and taught us beyond the course (i.e riveting anecdotes).

Now I feel ready to be a careful and confident driver to take a trip up the east coast. Thanks for all the tips, Paul!!!

In my recent motor cycle class at Stay Upright Botany there was a whole section on focusing on hazards, it was incorporated into our on-road ride.

No mention though of baby chickens crossing the road as you pass through a village, a 'stick' that turned into a head-rearing snake lurching at me, buffaloes on the road, lots of slippery buffalo droppings, or a monkey that jumps down from an overhead wire almost on top of you as you are riding.

No mention either of the 'safe' number of bugs that an ear enclosed in a helmet can handle after dusk.

This all happened on one ride yesterday, on the island of Lombok, Indonesia.

I do want, however, to say a huge thank you to the Mascot crew for preparing me in the way that they did.

I completed my Stay Upright learner course and it was fantastic. I had Dean as my instructor who was really patient, and his explanations helped me gain confidence and feel prepared to ride on the road. Would highly recommend!

I just completed my learner course at Botany with Rob.

I just wanted to leave some positive feedback. He was great at coaching us and correcting our technique. He has a wealth of experience with riding and gave memorable examples that will help me be a better rider on the road.

I had a really good experience at botany. John was my instructor and can't recommend him enough. From having very little confidence at the beginning of the course, by the end of the 2 days my confidence grew massively. Got my licence a couple days later and have been riding everyday since then. If you are thinking about doing your pre learners course at botany know you are in very good hands.

Richard was amazing. Very patient instructor. I was very nervous during the exam, but he was so kind and friendly that I felt better during the test. Highly recommend scheduling your exam (MOST) with them.

Tim was my instructor and he was the absolute best, patient, calm, filled with personality and charm. Absolutely terrific bloke! So helpful. I’d only been riding 3 days in the past year since getting my Ls and he helped me out a tonne to get my Ps before my license expired. Highly recommend, Ps gotten 🤝

Malcolm Rennex is my instructor he was very helpful friendly patience knowledgeable and a great instructor that helped me get through my day and work on my weaknesses and able to ride a motorcycle in a safe manner. Thank you Malcolm. Highly recommended to all.

I had a great experience with Rob, who diligently took us through our L-plate training.

Engaging delivery, good facility and bikes.

The learner course at Stay Upright was informative and heaps of fun! All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Malcom (the instructor) had a very calm and casual demeanour while still getting the serious points across, which is exactly what new riders needed to put their minds at ease while still learning the importance of what is being taught. Such an awesome experience. I successfully received my L plates the next morning. I'll be booking in for the more advanced courses in due time and can only hope I will be taught by Malcom again.

Just had an incredible experience doing my pre-provisional license course - I had Tim as my instructor who was excellent. He was thorough, reassuring, and made a stressful experience alot easier to deal with. Stay Upright are lucky to have him on as an instructor!

Completed my pre-learner motorbike course with John and had a great experience. Having never ridden a motorbike or scooter before the lessons were done at a really approachable pace and I felt comfortable the whole way through.

John from the Botany training centre was fantastic. He's patient and clear with his instructions. Highly recommend

The course was very informative and a great introduction to riding motorcycles. John, the instructor that I had was patient and very thorough. I feel confident enough to get on the roads after this course!
