Absolutely stunning clear water. Beautiful lime stone sand. Plenty of young surfers having fun in the waves.

Stunning views of the coast and a great vantage point for the mouth of the river. The rocks around the beach are easy to navigate and make for some good photo opportunities.

Margaret river mouth view point is a point where Indian ocean & Margaret river meet together. The scenery is very beautiful. The view of the water comes directly on the rocks is awesome. There is a upper view point of Margaret river. Here, there is a BBQ area. You need to come down to see the bottom view of its beauty. Enjoy😄

If you are looking for a perfect beach package for kids and adults, this is best place in Margaret River.
Parking is bit tough to find in busy summer season.
Toilets available.
Hiking option as well.

So worth the drive

If you like the sun, sea and some waves, this is a must visit beach in Margaret River area. Very beautiful and clean beach ⛱⛱⛱.

The Rivermouth is great! Stopped here during school holidays for a swim in the river, heaps of families swimming by the beach, oldies paddle boarding down the river and the carpark is easy to get to and offers a great view aswell. Lots of small rock pools to explore, sea creatures to find and so much space to swim about!

Fantastic spot to swim in the river, and watch the wild waves crashing on the beach, sending huge sprays into the air 😍

Best at sunset. Looks like everyone else had the same idea, though. I scratched my toe pretty bad on a rock. Don't run too fast.

Excellent place to freshen up in the morning and enjoy "roaring of the sea" with morning view. The toilet facility is great and also has fresh drinking water. Lots of parking with sea view.

This is the place where the river meets the ocean. Great place for family and lot of fun activity.

Lovely park area overlooking the beach with its amazing surf.
Very well maintained and stacks of room to park.

Magic place to visit. Not too crowded even on weekends...

Best time is October... what a view!... water water everywhere

The Cape to Cape Walking Track crosses the mouth of the Margaret River at Prevelly. During dry times the crossing is easy sand, but we heard that when it is wet the trail is cut here, you will need to find another way across. The Viewpoint has carparking, and toilet facilites.

This spot is amazing for the families. Ocean Surf at the beach is rough and dangerous, particularly at the time of a full moon. So the river mouth itself is a great place to cool of with the kids. It’s well protected from the rough surf and wind. It’s flat and calm and warmer than the ocean water.
Excellent area for kayaking, snorkeling, fish and swimming. Kids will enjoy chasing the fish with net if you have them.
There are good public toilets, outdoor showers and lifeguards around and some parking. You can also hire kayaks to paddle down the river.

Beautiful spot, just be sure you’re willing to get wet going through the river if you want a beach walk!

visited this place early in the morning on feb and it was very beautiful and relaxing. The waves at the beach were so strong while river mouth was very peaceful which makes it interesting. there's a toilet in the area and just enough parking. definitely recommend visiting when you're in the area.
