Bilgoman Aquatic Centre

We enjoy visiting Bilgoman Aquatic Centre. It's a 50 metre community pool with two wading pools for babies and toddlers.
It also has a slide for the kids at the shallow end, and a separate diving section away from the swimming lanes at the deep end.
The traditional kiosk sells hot pies and sausage rolls, as well as cold drinks, ice creams, and small paper bags filled with lollies. 💓
The big trucks driving down the main road will beep their horns at any of the kids who wave to them through the fence, which I think must be a tradition, as the centre is now fifty years old. 👌

It's a classic, post industrial swimming hole. Built in the late 60s, its been a favourite of mine for nearly 50 years. Just a great, outdoors and fresh air experience. The water is always refreshingly cold!

Great place. A little oasis in the hills. Some facilities are a bit older but all good. Nice little adventure for the small kids as well as the adults. Bigger than it looks from outside. Staff are friendly and make sure it is a safe space for all despite the odd group that think they know best or don't want to obey the rules. Kiosk full of what you need for a quick energy fix. BBQ for those who want to BYO food. Nice, serene place.

First time here since moving into the area. Beautiful pool and space.

My son loves to swim here. The baby pools are perfect for him, even the bigger pools are amazing and its soo clean even in the changing rooms. So many people come to these pools but the area is spacious. Just a relaxing atmosphere we love it here.

Thoroughly enjoy taking the kids to Bilgoman Aquatic Centre. We live in Ferndale and we've been taking the kids (13 and 9) to Bilgoman since they first started swimming at a young age. Changerooms a bit dated now but they do their job.

Great venue! Paddle pools for the wee ones and diving boards for the bomby enthusiasts. Family friendly with canteen and bbqs

We had a family picnic/BBQ the afternoon into the evening, Was a beautiful balmy night just perfect. The surrounding area of the pool was kept clean and lots of bins around for your rubbish.
The lifeguards kept watch and pulled you up if you pushed the boundaries 😅. All in all we had a great day.

Very good. It has a great kids slide in the lower depth of the biggest pool. Lots of shaded areas, a BBQ area, a small playground including sand near the baby pool. There is a medium pool also and 2 diving boards at the deepest end of the big pool. There is a kiosk, and pool entry is $6 or less per person. Great value, atmosphere, safety features, and not too crowded. It makes a great family day out.

I was at the pool today and there was an incident, I became involved in an assist with a lady who collapsed and the staff were fantastic. They were extremely proficient in their safety care, administering oxygen to the lady.

I am in the emergency field and I have to say they were awesome. Sorry I didn’t get their names.

Love this place, good value and close to home..

Terrific, well kept pool. Crystal clear water, very neat and clean surroundings with excellent and spacious facilities. Although the pool is heated, the temperature is only just warm enough to take the chill off, so bear in mind that smaller children may struggle, even with a wetsuit.

Been going to Bilgoman Aquatic Centre with the family for many years and we absolutely love it. It's always clean, lots of shade and staff are really friendly and helpful. It's great that it has big pool and a smaller one for smaller children. Would recommend to everyone.

Always love Bilgoman Aquatic Centre, the water is warm, so clean and clear. Beautiful, well kept grassed areas, heaps of shade, and diving boards are still here, had so much fun on them when I was a kid. Awesome pool, awesome staff, great place for a picnic, and a lap lane to yourself. Should keep that quiet :-)

Affordable for families. Plenty of parking. Plenty of shelter and picnic tables. Very clean facilities. Has a kiosk too. Great day out with the family.
