A small cafe, often crowded during peak hours.
Hence, I notice most people went take-away options. I'll recommend their Signature Duck Egg CKT, Singapore Hokkien Mee (I wonder if there's option to add pork lard? That will be perfect) and Katong Laksa.

Had Assam Laksa today, it tasted just alright...is may due to my personal preference of having it more spicy. There were good amount of fish meat in the soup.

It is an eatery with a simple and cosy environment like most cafes in SEA countries. Nothing to shout except the good food and people around us.

Visited for the 1st time, craving for good rojak, laksa and char kueh tiaw. Greeted and table was served promptly. Table and counter was a little messy during peak hour, but we can see their waitress worked hard to tidy up the place swiftly.

We didn't wait long for the food to be served. All three dishes were served at the same time, which is good as we ordered to share.

Rojak was very refreshing, especially having one during the hot summer day, laksa broth had enough heat, and it wasn't oily, duck egg char kueh tiaw smelled good from far!

Price was higher than most other places BUT food and portion was good ... worth every cent.

This is a popular Asian restaurant. Food can take a while and worth the wait. You can dine in or takeaway. I'm going back to try the Kway Teow.

Today, we tried the Singapore Style Seafood Laksa. Yum. The sambal is on a spoon. See the photo. You can control how spicey you like it. Besides seafood, the laksa has fresh bean sprouts, quail eggs, and rice noodles.

I liked the spiceyness of the laksa. Lucky for me, tissues were available at the Self Service Station. Also at the station is water and eating implements.

We discovered this little gem from social media. This restaurant is always busy and they do not take booking. This is a local favourite of ours. We are working our way through the menu and have not been disappointed with the flavours, freshness, presentation & service. Their serving were generous and their taste authentic. Value for money. Highly recommend hokkien prawn noddle, char kway teow, sambal barramundi, mee goreng and the list goes on. Well done!

My favourite Singaporean restaurant in Perth. Highly recommend the black pepper chicken chop and Singapore Hokkien mee but almost everything should be great. Love that cockles are available now with the CKT. May Fugu8 be around for a long time, I'll keep visiting every week!

Update April 2022:
Amazing food as always, had fried platter (ngo Hiang) and Sambal Barramundi. Loved every bit of it.

Authentic Singaporean food with good service and generous helpings. Must have is the Rochor Mee, no need to go to Singapore to have it, this is the real deal. Also tried the pork noodles, yummy

Update July 2021: went in for lunch today had the lamb curry from the winter specials menu, was a rock and roll party in my mouth with the super tender lamb and amazing flavors from the rich and thick curry. These guys are really good cooks and justify the pricing. 2 ladies serving were super friendly and attentive. Well Done fugu 8 👏🏻👏🏻

This is my Singapore place for Bak Chor Mee, soup/dry. It used to be only Ya Kwang hawker that does this dish but Fugu8 pushes it to be more accurate and with a good intensity of pork goodness.

Very often the Singapore chef will invent new dishes and serves as specials. Place is also famous for Assam laksa, Katong laksa, Singapore Hokkien mee, and their sambal bbq fish or seafood. There is also their har chiong gai (prawn paste fried chicken wings) very addictive!

Parking is free for 2 hours at the basement but make sure you take the generated free ticket from the machine and place on your windshield or you may get fined.

We came for lunch on a weekday to avoid the queue & wait. It was a good strategy, tables available & we didn't wait long for the food to arrive.

My husband has been looking for Singapore laksa. The ones we've tried were nowhere near in terms of flavour. Though not 100% identical, Fugu 8's Singapore laksa is the closest we've ever tried in all out years in Perth.

Shrimp paste chicken hit the spot & satisfied my cravings. Char kuay tiao had good wok hei, the way we like it. Will come back to try other dishes.

We enjoy coming here for our Malaysian and Singaporean food fix. Their fried noodle dishes have "wok hei". A tad on the higher price range, but portions are generally large.

Plenty of free parking at the shopping centre basement or roof top.

For real Singapore Malaysian cuisine, you need to come here. However it is always crowded so get in early. Food is consistent though some friends with questionable taste buds seem to think otherwise.

First tried Fugu 8 with takeaways collected @ Myaree & food was amazing in taste. (food was a bit cold & portion a bit small to my liking due to being takeaway... But it's takeaway can't expect too much).

Then we have the pleasure to visit the store & ate there. Food is again amazing... Hot... Authentic Flavour... The portion is huge especially for my Hokkien Prawn Noodle.

Their cendol & Ice kacang in comparison to their hot food, to me personally, become pretty average... 3/5.

However overall I'll give the store a strong 5/5 for their food served. Still lots of food on the menu I have not tried. Will update here in future when I have the pleasure to do that.

The duck egg char kuay teow is simply amazing!!!!!! A bit too oily but packed with flavour. The white curry noodle is heartiful. The prawn paste chicken wings.... omg best wings ever (if you like flavour). Spring roll is a major let down, good taste but soggy? This needs to be prepared fresh not left in a warmer!!! Anyhow overall good delicious asian food. #dinnerinperth #perthfood #perthisokay #asianfood #charkwayteow #ckt #duckegg #yum # eat @fugu.8

Ordered 4 dishes, Beef Rendang, Chicken Curry, Hokkien Mee and BBQ Fish. All were delicious with not a bad dish between them. Awesome meal. Bit of a wait though for a Tuesday lunch.

Delicious food. Large portion especially the hokkien prawn noodle dish. That is definitely for 2. Come early to get a seat. The mamak mee Goreng is tasty as well. We will come back when we come to the city for work.

Absolutely delicious Singapore Noodles. Wet, unlike any I've had before, in a very good way. Cooked with pork lard, so not one for the weight watchers, but when you hit a crunchy nugget of it, it's totally worth it. Friendly service and owners. Clam special looked great too!

People from Singapore and Malaysia actively seek out places to get their fix of tastes from "home".
And Fugu8 pops up often on the various social media platforms that these people frequent.
We have hunted down most of the places to find familiar foods that take up too much effort to cook ourselves.
And we've heard many good things about this place. The words authentic taste was often mentioned.
We finally made it there this week and enjoyed a laksa and a dry bak chor mee.
Both were excellent. The laksa was as good as if not better than any I have had. In fact, I had a good one on a recent flight between Bangkok and Singapore.
The flavour was right and the spice balance was perfect.
Fugu8 uses the right noodle for this dis and was generous with the prawns, quails eggs, tau pok, and even some clams. And the sambal elevated the dish without overwhelming it.
The bak chor mee was also very good. We had a really nice one in Food Street at Changi Airport and this was was equally good.
Again, there was a generous serve of pork pieces, minced pork, mushrooms, and bits of crispy pork lard.
And the vinegar sauce was just right too.
You get two hours free parking at the shopping centre where Fugu8bis located and credit cards are accepted.

We found out about this little gem from recommendations by friends and social media, and we were so glad we did!
We have only been there for lunch during the weekdays, and it has always been a friendly and efficient service each time.
We came specifically for their famous hometown taste of Singapore Hokkien prawn noodle (aka Rochor mee) and Penang Assam Laska which we missed back in Singapore and Malaysia.
Their serving were generous and their taste authentic. Chef owner Desmond even popped out to seek feedback from the patrons today, a refreshing change!
As my wife is an avid Assam laska fan, to her slight disappointment, the chef has recently turned down the heat on the Assam laska due to feedback from other patrons who commented it was too spicy. We are grateful that chef Desmond shared this change honestly with us, a reflection of their ethos.
Will definitely have to return to try their other popular dishes too.
They accept credit card payments, and will offer you a free can of drinks if you pay cash, a good offer!
Overall a 5 star for us.

Duck egg char kuey teow and fried hokkien prawn noodles are both good. Taste is authentic. The only complaint is the smell inside the restaurant due to the poor ventilation in the kitchen. Every time after eating here, my colthes is full of the kitchen smoke smell.
