Went early on a weekday after some good rain was recorded and it was magic.. No one there and clean running water.. perfect place to dive and swim.. was able to observe some fresh water eels going about the daily routines which was quietly a special moment. Was a 20 min walk in and was not difficult. Picked a bag of rubbish before leaving. Was quite happy that there wasn't so much trash lying around to begin with..

This is a great tucked away area to visit. Located a moderate trek away from the carpark, the rock pools offer a secluded getaway for an afternoon.
I visited on a dry day so only the pools were evident, and no waterfalls. Even then, it is quite scenic and worth the visit. Sometimes bush walking can get a bit boring so it's good to have a destination after a shirt walk.
The pool water looked a bit dirty and filled with algae growth, so I wouldn't recommend swimming if you didn't want to risk some exotic water related infection.
The location is a bit far to get to and requires traversing 10km of unpaved road to reach the carpark. Depending on where you are starting from, visiting the pools will probably take up all day.

So fun! Loved the 3km round walk and there was plenty of water (late November) for swimming, sliding down the rocks and a bombie or two. The walk trail was easy, there were some rocks to negotiate on the way to the rock pools and falls but that was all part of the adventure! Read more in the Always Adventure Ready website review.

Beautiful walk and rock pools. Definitely better after a decent amount of rain for swimming but a good walk other wise.
20min walk from the car park. No phone signal. No toilets. Make sure you take water.

Although the sign at the trail head said NOT to swim, it was very inviting. There were two other parties just leaving when we arrived so we had the place to ourselves. It was very peaceful and very Zen, sitting and listening to the running creek. We did not go into the water because it felt very cold. Even so, it was worth the hour and half drive from Hervey Bay.

Super beautiful spot full of stunning native flowering plants during Spring - bottle brush, grevillea, bush basil, and more! Looking forward to visiting again.

NPQLD say its a grade 4 walk. We reckon it's about grade 3. Approx 25 to 30 minutes walk. Short hills not too difficult to the Top spot, the rock pools were flowing so that means you're going to be swimming in clean water.

Swindle Creek road as in the directions, is not the correct way to Utopia falls. Once you find the correct directions further down the road Utopia is amazing when it has plenty of water allowing the waterfalls to flow

Utopia Falls. Beautiful. Take a backpack with lunch. And a towel. Wear cut of jeans to do the rock slides. Stunning spot

The beautiful places you find in the bush 💜

Amazing Rock Pools 40km out of Biggeden fresh water so very cold, no amenities or bins so make sure you take out what you bring in.

Short dirt road but 2wd accessible maybe different in the wet.

We visited in March 2022 just after the big February Floods the water holes where deep blue and beautiful 😃

It's a bit of a walk to the rock pools but well worth the effort. Off the main road & a long a dirt road. Water is cold, deep parts of pools for jumping off rock face, slides of smooth rock from pool to pool. Unfortunately this time people had left rubbish behind
Must take it with you let's not spoil this beautiful national park.

Car park is accessible with 2wd via a gravel road. It is a good hike to get to the rock pools with a well defined trail taking roughly 40mins up over a hill. As long as there's water, there's several spots to swim and some holes are deep enough to jump from the rock walls.
For the more experienced hiker, you can follow the creek upstream to the end but there is no defined trail and plenty of rocks to navigate. Depending on water level in the creek there is plenty of rock pools along the way.
