Coalstoun Lakes National Park

Great for a bush walk all left to mother nature to take care off. Stunning views n surrounds. Bring plenty of water n trail mix. It's a very steep but continuous path. Track is sometimes unclear so experience is recommended. Definitely coming back

A rough climb to the top, but so worth it. Great views. With Australia still in drought it is very dry, but I can't wait to climb it again to see it full of water. The climb was about a 20 minute slow up hill walk. It was very stoney and there was lots of loose gravel.

A Must Do. Between Biggenden and Ban Ban Springs. Signpost easy to miss if travelling from Biggenden as entry is just around a bend and sign is set back. There are two extinct volcanoes. You can drive about half way up and walk the rest of the way. Beautiful views. Then a track to the right leads up to the second volcano. Although the name ‘lakes’ defies reality, there probably is water there in heavy prolonged rain. It would be great to see.

Mt Le Brun the easiest mountain to climb. The top has a table overlooking a volcanic crater. Easy walking to the birdhide and onto second crater with wild cucumbers to munch on and another birdhide.

Loved this park. Lots of butterflies in the crater when we were there, but grass was a bit overgrown and we were not able to walk to the second crater. I’d suggest long pants and closed in shoes in case of snakes, just to be sure! But a truly interesting and unique place to hike.

Short, but good hike to the top of the hill. Great view of the surrounding landscape.

It is a steep walk and about 4km so can be prepared, but the view is amazing and worth checking out.

Fairly steep and uneven walk. Hard to impossible walk for elderly people. No driving up the hill. No water in the lakes. Nice little view from the top.
