Joy's Garden Cafe

A hidden gem of Willetton, literally. Well, they are located at the very corner of the premise, it's easy for people to overlook the place since car traffic is also going on the other side.
The service is outstanding. One lady was serving and she was.able to handle customers enquiries and taking Order together swiftly and efficiently.
I tried the rice-paper roll, we ordered 2 portions (4 pieces) thinking the size would like other paper rolls elsewhere. And how wrong we were. It's big size and lots of stuff inside. The paper roll is very thin, I was amazed how thin yet still holding everything together.
Paper roll is meant to be enjoyed with the sauce. I had the hoisin with peanut and a dab of chilli. The sauce together with the paper roll tasted so heavenly.
I want more sauce!

One thing I'm a bit surprised with was it's $1 for a bottle of tap water. There's still mineral water for sale too.

Overall I really like how this cafe is being run and organised. Although it's very busy but everyone got their attention in a timely manner.
Don't forget the durian roll. I have been reading it's their signature dessert.

Ordered (1) sweet n sour fish - batter was perfect and fish was very fresh (2) spicy bamboo shoot seafood - delicious and all seafood was fresh. The squid was really tender. A+ service and we were sweetly enticed to bring home a durian Swiss roll. Will be back to try other foods on menu.

Proving that this restaurant is truly worth the while…..
I returned to Joys Garden and discovered that they had a new chef. After expressing my dislike of my recent purchase and why…. A soup was made for me and I was offered a sample before I left.
How kind and demonstrative of how the restaurant aims to please customers 🙂
To my pleasure the soup was very close to what I’ve experienced and liked and will definitely be returning.
It is time to try other dishes in future as their care and diligence is a rarity in hospitality venues these days 👍

Rice noodles, cold noodles, and rice paper rolls with prawn were very tasty and I plan to come back soon and try other menu items.

We ordered the raw beef Hofun soup and the lemongrass chicken cold noodle salad. They are very nice. The price is good. Don't forget to try the coffee. Yum!! Surely will go back again.

Quickly becoming one of favorite places for a good lunch. The beef ho fun is extremely fresh and the prices very reasonable. My kids also love theExpect dinner time to be a bit more expensive, but still good once in a while.

Wonderful restaurant with the most delicious food. Mai-Lin was so beautiful, her hospitality was amazing. Her cakes are just delicious. We definitely will be back.

The unsuspectingly great Viet hidden gem South of the river. Get the spring rolls with lettuce! Photo wise, broth is better than most in the city and noodles are very passable. I'd say it'd be the safest bet if you're in the the square arcade...
Cold bun noodles are a personal fave here and I really appreciate the fact that the menu is short but done well.

Love this family run restaurant and am a frequent diner, my absolute favourites are the spicy seafood Laksa and beef HoFun. The restaurant is clean and there is seating available for small and medium groups. They supply take away and I'm so pleased to see they now have a website and you can order online. It's the best Vietnamese in the local area and means I don't have to travel to Northbridge or Vic Park for delicious food. Big fan of Joy's.

This is a family owned business and the food and service is always good. I like the fried mee hoon noodles, beef noodle soup, rice paper rolls, wonton noodles and Japanese tofu. You can order cakes here to since the owner is also a pâtissière. I got a Black Forest cake here and everyone loved it. You can ask them for photos too but be sure to pre-order first obviously. Otherwise they normally have a small selection of cakes on a day to day basis: opera cake; it's really good, mango cake and durien cake. Cakes made here are really fresh I highly recommend them.

Best quality hofun, both Hong Kong and Vietnamese style, I've ever had south of the river. Almost all the dishes are great (though a little more expensive than the 'cheaper' Asian restaurants @ about $12 a dish on average) and the manager makes crazy good custom occasion cakes and desserts too.

Good quality food. Must ask for the special spring roll and Vietnamese coffee. Does not have a big menu but Everything on the is great. Don't forget the Durian cake.

Delicious meals prepared fresh and tasty. A regular here for the pho. So lucky to have a nice Vietnamese Chinese restaurant in the area. Try the beef tamarind salad, it’s the best!

Vietnamese (run) restaurant also serving Chinese styled dishes. Great for several dishes including the lemongrass chicken or beef bun noodle dish, sambals, lemongrass chicken, tamarind salad & combo ho fun egg gravy. The owner is also a qualified pastry chef so stick around & treat yourself with a small cake. Tip: Come early lunch or dinner, small number of tables can otherwise mean a longer wait :-) Would not bother with the famous Viet soup - pho & always better to dine in with a bun dish & not take it away.
