Absolutely loved our trip up Yardie Creek, the wild life was fantastic with Osprey Black Footed Rock Wallaby, a Nankeen Night Heron and a Brahminy Kite. The skipper was great and had heaps of stories about the region, as well as tips for what to see in the region. I recommend this Tour for families and anyone who enjoys wildlife up close in their natural environment.

We recently did the 1 hour boat tour with Boxy from Yardie Creek boat ramp and it was an absolute highlight of our trip to Exmouth! Boxy has run the tour for years and lived in Exmouth since he was 5, so he is a wealth of historical knowledge and an excellent guide. He pointed out all of the local flora and fauna as we went through the creek, and shared some fascinating stories about the area.

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids aged 2-7) had a wonderful time. Boxy was great with the kids and made sure everyone was comfortable and having fun. The boat is spacious and clean, and the scenery is simply stunning.

We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Exmouth. It's a great way to see the Yardie Creek gorge, learn about the local environment, and have a fun and relaxing time on the water.

Thanks, Boxy, for a great tour!

Wonderful and so worth doing. So much stunning natural beauty, wildlife and history! Our guide was brilliant; helping parents look after and involve even the youngest family members, whilst never ceasing to point out sights and share information.

We absolutely loved our boat tour down Yardie Creek.

Ash, our guide was both informative and very entertaining and kept the children entertained as well as the adults.

The boat allows great views of the rock wallabies and the marine life in the water and is shaded.

The cost was very reasonable.

I would highly recommend this tour to everyone, young, old and families. It’s a great way to see the creek.

Thank you Ash for an enjoyable outing.

All four of us loved this Gorge tour. Ash was both informative and funny. His knowledge of the whole region of North West Cape is broad. Plenty of photo opportunities, no matter where you sat on the boat.

Excellent tour. Tour guide has a good sence of humour which made it humorous along the way, as well as educational.

Would recommend over walking.

We really enjoyed this 70ish minute boat ride along Yardie creek. Allow 90 minutes to drive to the cruise location from Exmouth. You might want to go straight to Turquoise bay for a drift snorkel afterwards since the two attractions are close together.

Our host, Andy, was a laugh and kept us entertained the whole time.

Tickets were easy to buy online. You can just turn up on the day but I wouldn't advise it as they are often completely booked out. Buy online or at their office in advance.

The boat is small and fits about 20 people which means everyone is able to see properly. That's important because the main attraction are the rock wallabies in the cliffs, they are grey and blend in with the rocks! We saw more than 20 of these adorable creatures during our cruise down the river.

The Yardie Creek Boat Tour was a unique experience. The boat trip offers a spectacular view of the gorge. Peter took us very close to rock wallabies and ospreys with their nests and enriched us with his great knowledge of the nature and history of the area. This tour thrilled us. We highly recommend this tour.

Loved it. It was amazing and I was like ....it should continue further ahead in terms of distance covered in the 1 hour ride.

Really enjoyed our boat tour of Yardie Creek, the guide was very knowledgeable pointing out birds, trees and of course, the gorgeous rock wallabies! The boat is cosy (small), no toilets available on board but toilets available in the car park. Tour lasts an hour, kids welcome, my 3 loved it (all under 10 years old). Bring sun cream, boat has a roof but open sides.

We had a really great time soaking in all the amazing landscape, spotting rock wallabies, fruit bats and osprey. We even saw a perentie lizard 🦎 eating its prey tucked away in a small cave. We even saw a lyre bird nest. Crusing along the river is just so beautiful and relaxing. Our host was funny, knowledgeable and even let the kids have a go at doing water donuts! 😅😀 Thank you

Highlight of our time in Exmouth!
A couple minutes with Boxy is more informative than a trip to the museum. We thought we were just going for a scenic cruise but we got so much more! Honestly felt like a tour of his home - he’s so passionate and knowledgeable about the area and has so much to share.

Fantastic tour and incredibly entertaining and knowledgeable guide. Spotting dozens of rock wallaby’s, learning history of the region, and learning all about the fauna and flora of the area. Even gave the kids a turn piloting the boat - which they absolutely loved. Recommend
