Ocean Eco Adventures

This tour is a must do (even for an 'observer'). From pickup to drop off, the OEA team go all out to ensure everyone has a memorable day. Plenty of good food, drinks and snacks are supplied throughout the journey, starting with breakfast on board. Equipment is well maintained and hygienic, and the boat is very comfortable and well skippered. The team are all knowledgeable and enthusiastic about every activity. Safety is paramount, which creates high confidence for the swims, and the 'eye in the sky' makes sure you get to the right location quickly. Onboard award-winning photographer ensures quality photos to remember the encounters with whale sharks and other marine life. In summary, just an awesome day with a great captain and crew to voyage with. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. My extended family and I had the most amazing day swimming with whale sharks and snorkelling. The staff were amazing from start to finish, especially looking out for those who were nervous or tired. I felt 100% safe and looked after the whole time. They were extremely informative and the care they have for the marine wildlife was so apparent. The food was also lovely and the boat was very clean and the set up was great. The photos were spectacular and such an amazing way to remember the day. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will never forget. Thank you Ocean Eco Adventures for making it happen!

Had a stellar day with Ocean Eco crew & patrons swimming with whale sharks!! The crew (Lachy, Maddi, Brooke, Bec, Olly) was beyond knowledgeable, I was blown away with their qualifications; most being dive rescue certified, marine biologists, and boat engine drivers. VERY nice new boat as well.

The food for the day was also excellent, fresh and just kept coming, finishing the day off with beer or bubbly. Anyway, unreal day!! Thank you team!!

Super organized professionell tour, pick up in Exmouth, drive to port which is 30 min away. Fantastic Vessel, spotting of the whale shark is done with the partner company that has Micro Flights. Staff are fantastic and look after you ensuring you have a good experience. Photos are included in price and are fantastic. Ollie is not only taking the amazing pics but sharing his knowledge about the whalesharks and marine life.

Our trip was 21 March 2024, we swam with 3 different whale sharks for an hour and a half in total which was incredible! Ocean Eco Adventures has their own microlight that flys above spotting the whale sharks and so you don't have to share the swims with other boats, more time with the beautiful whale sharks! The boat is big and clean and comfy. The food is plentiful, healthy and delicious; we had breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day. The crew are marine biologists with a whole heap of experience so incredibly knowledgeable and are out there with the whalesharks best interests in mind. From start to finish they looked after every guest on the boat, catering to individual needs and ensuring everyone felt super safe in the water. We snorkelled the reef twice and saw an abundance of fish. It was a spectacular trip and I would recommend to anyone. Thank you 🙏🏼🐋🦈

This has to be the best tour we have been on! From the moment we got on board, the skipper Lachy and crew were amazing and nothing was too much to ask. We had a great day on board and saw multiple whale sharks, again the skipper and crew made sure everyone got involved and no one was left out. The photographer did an amazing effort at ensuring everyone had their photo taken with at least 1 whale shark. Breakfast, lunch and morning/afternoon tea included, all were yummy - especially the lunch!! We were amazed at how much fresh delicious food was provided. A complimentary beer/wine/soft drink on the way back to the jetty - what more could you ask?! Thank you Ocean Eco Adventures for the most memorable day, we will be telling friends and family about it for a long time.

Today my partner and I did the whale shark discovery tour with Ocean Eco Adventures, and it was absolutely amazing.

This was a birthday bucket list adventure for my partner, and after reading numerous reviews about Ocean Eco and this tour, I am so happy that we went with this company who provided an extremely memorable and fantastic opportunity of a lifetime of being able to swim with such beautiful and majestic animals.

I cannot rate this company and the tour highly enough. Their communication was fantastic and they were very accommodating in allowing us to change the day of our tour by bringing it forward one day without any hassles.

The crew was amazing and provided a fun and entertaining day ensuring everyone was safe and had an enjoyable time. They were very professional and knowledgeable and extremely helpful in making me as a novice snorkeller feel very comfortable in the water. The boat, all of the equipment and the food provided was fantastic.

Particular thanks to Ollie who made sure that everyone had a photo taken with the whale sharks.

We were extremely lucky with the weather and numerous whale sharks that we swam with, but I cannot recommend this company and tour highly enough.

Excelent experience during the whaleshark day tour. Lots of whalesharks seen and lots of beautiful snorkel in the reef. All the staff were great, the food excellent. 100% recommended!

We joined their Whale Shark Swim tour at the end of March, which is the beginning of the whale shark season on the Ningaloo Reef. We swam with 6 different whale sharks and were in the water with them for about 1.5hrs in total, which was quite exceptional. The experience was absolutely magical, and basically a must do.

From start to finish, the crew made us feel like we were well looked after - assisting where needed at every step. The overall organization, instruction, guidance, and attention to safety went beyond our expectations. The Latitude 22 boat was in pristine condition, with loads of space, a viewing area at the bow, a sunny upper deck, a protected and shady main deck, well maintained equipment, tubs to store away your stuff, a nice bathroom, and overall the vessel felt very luxurious.

We were offered breakfast, a beautiful lunch with delicious fresh prawns, excellent home made salads, and tasty sandwiches. Hot espresso coffee and a variety of teas available with desalinated drinking water. You won't be left hungry the entire day, despite burning many many calories trying to keep up with the gentle giants in the water.

All photos of the day included by the skilled marine biologist / dive master/ photographer - Ollie. From the skipper, to the deck hand, to the lead swimmer guides in the water with you - we highly recommend this outfit!

It truly was a once in a lifetime experience and really a lot of fun. Despite some nerves in the beginning, by the end of the day, you wish you could do it all over again!

Amazing day, great services, people were lovely! Well worth every dollar, seeing 11 whale sharks in the first jump. Hammerhead shark, beautiful coral, tiger sharks - such an amazing day. Another amazing bonus were the vast qualifications of all the staff on board - marine biologists, marine engineer, rescue divers and much more - unbelievable experience, knowledge and insights.

Absolute best day today with our 2 boys. Swam with 5 different sharks. What an awesome experience. The crew and the boat were exceptional and the best around. Thanks so much for making it a memorable day

disappointed. Great, knowledgeable, competent crew who ran the whole process efficiently and with great enthusiasm. Everything was well done.

This is the third time on the sunset whale watching tour over 4 years and it never disappoints! We have 3 boys now aged 10 to 16 and they loved every moment of it. Welcoming and informative staff and a great boat with plenty of room for everyone. This was our closest to the whales and first ones spotted in 10 minutes. Even when we left them to head back the sunset more than made up for leaving the whales. Highly recommend for families, friends or couples. And I got the perfect whale tail pic - so happy!

We had a whale of a time! Loved our sunset cruise with this amazing crew. We saw so many whales plus dugong, dolphin, shark, sea snakes, swimmer crabs and fish. Food was delicious, thank you for including me by providing Coeliac safe gluten free food. Topped it off by driving back with a superb sunset over the peninsula. Highly recommend this tour to others.

What an amazing experience, swimming with whale sharks. The entire team were so passionate and made a great day exceptional.
We weren’t going to do this tour due to the expense, but I think it will be the highlight of our whole trip around Australia.

Wow, wow, wow. We had a spectactular day out with this amazing tour group. Firstly boat was fantastic with only 20 people. All staff were highly trained with all sorts of qaulifcations. The boat driver was the best. It was beyond my expectations. We saw (in order), Dolphins, Turtles, Hammer head shark, Tiger shark, 5 Orcas !!!, 3 whales up close, then we had 4 amazing dives with the Whale sharkes over about 2 hours. Thousands of beautiful fish and an adorable little leopard shark.
