Joy Kitchen is an absolute delight! The corn soup is a must-try; it's a burst of flavor that leaves you wanting more. The overall dining experience is fantastic, with delicious food that truly stands out. Be sure to make a reservation, as this popular spot gets quite busy. Our evening was made memorable by the exceptional service and delightful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

I've never left a 5 star review before but the food was incredible and the service was amazing at Joy's Kitchen. Our dishes came out lightning-fast and were to die for. The restaurant was also calm and quiet even though it was quite full (everyone was too busy eating to talk much!) I'll definitely be coming back very soon!

Great place for a nice sunset watch with friends and family. Great food and great ambience. Love the staff working here, very attentive and accommodating. Ordered the black pepper fried rice, with Sze Chuan chicken breast strips, mixed seafood (fish, scallops, prawns) and mixed vegetables. Highly recommended for sunset watchers and Chinese food lovers.

33 years in WA and can only count on one hand how many nights I have dined out in Freo.

We were heading to the Norfolk Hotel tonight for their amazing meat board with vegetable board, but on the way back to our accommodation, stumbled across Joy Kitchen.

It was Saturday they only open on the evening at weekends, however it looked lovely through the window.

Come 6:30 pm we decided Joy kitchen would be the go tonight, so rang to see if we could book at short notice.

They said we are busy, but if you can come at 7:45 pm that would be ok.

We wandered down Arundel Street where we were staying and as we turned the corner, we could see every table was full, good to see, but our heart sank.

All good though, our table was reserved and our waiter attentively opened our byo wine and brought the right glasses.

The menu was fairly concise compared to other Chinese restaurants, but definately considered.

You will see from the pictures, we were very pleased with the dishes we ordered, and highly recommend them all.

However................ what made it the perfect night for celebrating Samanths's birthday weekend was the attention to detail from the staff....... absolutely outstanding and a compliment to the owners who I believe have been in business for 27 years... no wonder.

Thank you to Jeff, for the attention to detail.... he brought love bird candles, a birthday ice cream with candle and even sang happy birthday.

Longest review I have ever written, but well deserved.

Ok, the service was a stand out. Very aware! The food was delicious and generous as well as good value. The atmosphere was relaxed with an amazing vista of sunset. Excellent. 🙏🏻

Very buzzy restaurant. Everything was delicious and the service was above and beyond! I’m heavily pregnant and the waiter immediately came over and put a cushion behind my back! Enjoyable meal out and reasonably priced. Best prawn toast I’ve ever had. Very tender meats and everything has amazing flavour. Will recommend and be back.

Came here for my wedding anniversary and the staff were very attentive, and everything tasted delicious! The staff even changed the paper covering our table cloth as per our request after we had mains.
In terms of the food, I especially recommend the garlic prawns. Will definitely return to try other dishes as the entire menu sounds fantastic 😋 👌

Honey Spare Ribs
Salt & pepper fried squid

Portions were good sizes
The rice was more than enough for 3 even 4 people

The bbq ribs were so tasty
Would definitely recommend

Really nice Chinese restaurant South of the River. From the ambience, the service to the tasty food everything was remarkable. What was most impressive was the speed of the food being cooked. It took like less then 10 minutes like super fast to get the meals from ordering to the table. This applies to both food and the drinks 🍹to be made.

We had appetisers, mains and dessert with drinks on top and could not fault anything. Probably the Cantonese fried rice was the most subpar dish out of it all but everything else was presented well, tasted yummy and the prices was pretty reasonable for a kind of poshy Chinese place.

So if you live south of the river and want a really good Chinese restaurant that is a bit more upmarket then this place should be on top of your list!!!

I must say the best fresh seafood fried rice I’ve ever had in my life. The portion for a fried rice can be shared bet. 2-3 people.
I first went there in January and now it’s been already the 4th times I dined in and 2 times did takeaway. The service is quick and staffs are very polite. Will definitely be back again!!

Extremely efficient service and really good Chinese food. The cost of the food was a bit pricey but it was worth it.

This is hands down the best Cantonese food in Perth. Service is efficient and food comes super quickly (even when the restaurant is packed). Lemon chicken, sizzling garlic prawns and sang chow bow are stand outs.

An absolute fantastic place, great meals, very fast service and the food was excellent. I travel all over Australia critiquing Asian restaurants and this place ranks amongst the highest places on my list so far 9/10 for service and food. The Prawn dumpling soup and prawn spring rolls were very fresh and country style crispy chicken was out of this world, mosit inside and crispy on the outside and the sauce was not over powering but just the right amount.
Large seating for groups and the decor was a great fit. Well done JoY kitchen! It was indeed that.

Very authentic Cantonese food, good quality ingredients and skilled chef, unlike other Chinese restaurants that pile lots of sauces on every dish, i find the dishes here quite delicate, yummy! Staff is attentive and helpful, good atmosphere but can get bit noisy when all tables are seated. It can be a bit expensive compared to other Chinese restaurants but i think it worth the money.
As we always walk pass it and every time it's packed, we decided to give it a go, we tried 4 times now and there is no dish that we don't like, recommended to two friends and they liked it also.

Great restaurant, food is fantastic - we went on New Year’s Eve and I can’t fault the service we received. Had the boneless lemon chicken, honey roast spare ribs and Mongolian lamb. Highly recommend.

Amazing. The service was great, the waiter was extremely nice as well as the person who took a photo of my family and I. Food was amazing, we ordered one of the banquets. If you want to feel full, definitely recommend this place!

We dined in on Tuesday. We loved every dish we tried. I totally recommend it. Amazing quality food.

Resteraunt located in fremantle, close to the public parking lots. Decent sized Resteraunt, very busy, bookings are essential at peak hour times, sometimes thr Resteraunt can feel a bit squishy and some of the tables are a bit small. Large menu, pricing a little expensive. lots of vegetarian options, excellent customer service, every team member was enthusiastic and gave recommendations on food and drinks, quick to order, and quick to serve food. Food was large portion sizes and tasted amazing.
