Our visit to Understory Art and Nature Trail was an absolute delight! As a family with a curious 2-year-old daughter, we were thrilled by the interactive art pieces scattered throughout the trail. Each exhibit seemed to spark her imagination, and watching her engage with the artwork was truly heartwarming. The trail itself was well-maintained and provided a perfect blend of nature and creativity. We highly recommend this trail to families looking for a unique and enriching outdoor experience!

I will be honest, I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. Some really interesting pieces of work. It was $45 for a 30 bush walk for the family (2 adults and 3 kids). Seemed a little pricey initially but felt worth it by the end.

This place is so interesting and full with beautiful art that compliments life in the forest. The walk is easy and you are provided with a map with all art pieces and nature facts, as well as a collection of soft music and a podcast about the walk which is cool!

Wow! A complete and most pleasant surprise. Had been expecting something fairly pedestrian but instead saw an excellent exhibition in the best possible setting. Do yourself a favour.

What a great side trip, one hour you will not regret. Thank god we have people who are passionate about art and nature and give their time, money and effort to such a wonderful display of outdoor sculpture.
Not to be missed when in the Pemberton region.

This is an amazing place to visit. The joining of nature and art. I felt like a kid on a treasure hunt as we followed the trail and the art unfolded behind ever bend nook and cranny. What an amazing story honouring the community's rise from the ashes. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS.

The quality and ambience of this sculpture walk was a real surprise - worth a detour to visit. Get the useful guide from the front desk - and walk the right way around the loop!

The highlight of the Manjimup trip, extremely creative. You can spend half a day looking for the artwork hidden in crevices and trees and the kids are thoroughly occupied. It is a pity that it's not marketed well.

Unexpectedly great way to spend an arvo, appreciated by young and old. Especially liked all the charcoal faces hidden in the forest.

Love how art was used to help recover from devastating bushfires. Australian artists never cease to challenge my views of what art is.

5star+ volunteer initiative! Ambling through this thoughtful and thought inspiring art trail in the forest really makes you slow down, look around, listen and appreciate your surroundings. There are secret pieces of art everywhere when you start to look! Entry with the audio tour is well worth the extra few dollars to hear about the artists stories and inspiration. The 1.2km bush track is wide and level so the walk is not strenuous. You walk through different aspects of the forest - open areas, vines, tea tree and larger trees. This is a children friendly experience too, as they are free to touch and interact, looking at the intricacies of some of the artwork and playing with others. Allow at least 45 minutes to an hour to meander through the circuit featuring more than 60 art pieces created by over 40 artists. Access from the Visitor Centre.

Fantastic little walk. Really enjoyed all the new art pieces that have been added. $10 ticket fee but worth the price

A short but amazing 'art in nature' trail. We loved the sculptures of human faces 'carved out' from the tree trunks. We visited in winter but as this is a forest area, there are plenty of trees to provide shade in summer. There are also benches along the path so you can rest if you do get tired. The kids enjoyed this trail as well.

Very interesting 1.3km walk through the bush land with Karri ,Jarrah and other trees and also a variety of native plants. We had a well documented booklet explaining the various sculptures and other points of interest, the sculptures in the trees were amazing. Definitely the entry fee was worth the experience.

Awesome concept of art within nature. The bush that the path travels through is in excellent condition and even in winter there were plants starting to flower. Lots of different artworks with different inspiration. The path is easy but maybe not appropriate for wheelchairs (at least not in winter when it gets a bit muddy and wet). Umbrellas are provided if you need them.
