Poste Garden Design Centre and Cafe

I was looking for a place to unwind on my break and saw a recommendation from WA gardeners in FB. When I checked it out, it's a gem of a place. It's like a kaleidoscope of senses where you hear the train passing nearby, the buzz of the planes passing above, then combined with the rustling sounds of the plants and decors moving with the breeze, and the buzzing bees around the garden complement the great food with warm staff serving the cafe.  I would highly recommend this place to unwind or catch up with friends and family. The cafe would definitely allow you to appreciate nature in an urban setting.

Now this is a place with more than a double meaning. Whereas we went there for a brunch, we ended up strolling the garden. The garden café is what it says a café inside a garden, as tables were placed among the plants. Very accurate in keeping up with the tone, the menu is French inspired, soups, pies, toasties, few types of omelettes. I had the most amazing omelette with goat cheese and salad and I walked around the garden statues and garden décor items. Amazing place and such a positive atmosphere. Lovely place and friendly staff!

What a hidden gem! The menu is packed with yummy comfort food and coffee is delicious. So many gorgeous cakes to choose from too. Staff are friendly and warm.

This cafe / garden store is so cute, from the heritage building to the jungle of plants & pots, water features and then to the customer service it's all so so calming, vintage & super sweet. Thought it was a little pricey for what was ordered but then I tasted it all and it was devine! The toastie had proper chunks of ham, cheese inside and out plus a salad, the carrot cake was perfectly moist and the coffee was roasted to perfection (it's the little details & flavor that matters) - can't wait to come back. Thank you for the hospitality!

Everything a beautiful cafe should be and yet so much more. Oozing in history, yet so pleasantly natural and peaceful in the beautiful tranquil cafe gardens. I had the front courtyard all to myself, which was lovely, where the back was bustling with life, if that’s more your thing. So many delicious treats to enjoy, and a fantastic French menu. Again, coffee was brilliant, but it was the service which was the highlight. So much love and care. Their clear aim, to bring you the best experience.

The atmosphere of the garden is great 👍 all tables are 2 m apart or more surrounded with plants. The staff are friendly and the food is ok. There's a large choice of teas.

A hidden gem, great atmosphere with tables placed randomly in the garden and inside the building. One of the prettiest places I’ve eaten. There is no loud music, so it is easy to have a conversation. Only downside is that the food is expensive.

Such a beautiful little spot! Enjoyed a coffee date amongst the plants and greenery. The people working there were so lovely and let my toddler feed the fish.

We went for a coffee in the morning,it's a nursery with a cafeteria. You can enjoy and taste french cuisine.the environment is nice

I ordered a piece of the cheese cake. It was pretty good.
There were a lot of antique furniture and plants, and the atmosphere was very good.

A Wonderful little gem, so nice to have tables set in corners of the garden centre a real French touch.

Arrived today Friday 1st March 2024 for lunch, closed and notice on gate, not sure what has happened as this gem is usually full of loyal customers, a great place for food, great service and wonderful staff, with amazing gifts and plants for sale, can someone please let us know what is happening with this fabulous guildford treasure, confused 😕

Simply delightful! Loved the atmosphere. Loved the surroundings. Loved the food. Very nice tea too. Will definitely be returning to this gem in the heart of Guildford. Very impressed.

This cafe is inside the original Post Office in Guildford. There is dining inside and outside amongst the garden and nursery. Worth a visit.

Delightful garden centre/cafe with French inspired food. I found the tomato, goat cheese & caramelised onion tart light but full of flavour. Well worth a visit.

Extremely beautiful garden cafe with french inspired menu served with superbly cheerful staff. Love it here and will certainly come back again!

A lot of old decorations are interesting

How good is this cafe it’s just so relaxing with wonderful service, great coffee and ridiculously good food. Sitting amongst all the plants and garden paraphernalia just makes it hard to leave, especially without buying something.
