Crowne Plaza Melbourne, an IHG Hotel

Close to all Melbourne cbd has to offer. The hotel has some amazing suites and some great views of the city. The staff were friendly, room service came very quickly. It was a great luxury stay for our anniversary and are hoping to come back some time soon!

This place hasn't let us down. We’ve stayed multiple times, and the rooms have an awesome view facing the Yarra river and Crown Casino! The building looks tired from the outside, but inside all rooms and lobby has been renovated! Nice outdoor pool area, extremely friendly and attentive staff! Also the hotel is placed centrally easily to catch the free tram into the CBD or St. Kilda.

I stayed for 1 night for a staycation. The view from our room was fantastic, (did pay a bit extra for the view). Perfect location in the CBD, public transport and restaurant/bars. Definitely will come and stay again when the weather warmer to use the pool. Pool is a bit small but still fine. Few downsides; car park is off site which is a bit of a hassle checking out and walking with bags/luggage, buffet breakfast was small and limited, and the bed side table was stained which made it look dirty.

The staff were amazing. Very professional, friendly and helpful. Check-in and checkout was a breeze. My daughter and I stayed for her 13th birthday and the staff made it very memorable. A complimentary fruit platter with cake, icecream and a card with beautiful birthday wishes was delivered to our room which made her feel very special. The room was faultless, very clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view of the river. The location was perfect for our needs. Thank you Crowne Plaza for a wonderful stay.

Very nice Hotel in the Center of Melbourne at the river. Nice rooms and friendly Staff.
Close to the Casino and many attractions, food spots and sightseeing just a few footsteps away.
The trams in the City circle are free so you can get to places nearby very Quick.
I would book this hotel again.

In my recent stay I wasn’t happy with my room. I let them know and front office manager Mr Jun Yoon promptly rectified the issue. I thought that was incredible service.
Also their breakfast was fantastic and pool was nice too.

Dinner and breakfast in the Conservatory was exceptional. Such a great variety. Great live entertainment. And a healthy win on the tables to top it off. Was a great weekend.

Concierge staff were all friendly and helpful. Great location for my needs. In room dining food was very good and quickly delivered. Room was big with a beautiful view. Sunny and his immaculately clean car was prompt and friendly when taking me to the airport.

I spent three days at Crowne Plaza in November 2023 attending a conference with 150 attendees. The whole team at Crowne Plaza were exceptionally friendly and the service could not be faulted. Conference facilities and food were great and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. Definitely recommend

Hotel was beautiful, during our stay they had some nearby road and building construction but we didn’t hear a thing and it really didn’t interrupt the stay at all. It was just a little bit of a walk for parking.

The room was really clean and cheerful. It had usb points for phone charging and everything.

Even the soaps and shampoo provided was really nice.

Would definitely stay again.

The customer service couldn't be anymore perfect. It was over 2 years ago we had visited the crowne plaza and we still talk about how amazing our experience was. Everything was so easy and relaxed when arriving. I had asked in my booking for romance and when we had arrived wine and a lovely card was perfect something so small could've been a $4 wine I don't care the thought was so beautiful.

The front desk ladies are so lovely and help you in every way.

What an amazing place to stay, from the moment you come up the drive, the concierge is there with a smile and a kind welcome, onto reception where they have an easy check in, up to a room with the best bed and pillows that I've ever slept on. Out the door you go and on your return the next afternoon or evening, the room is immaculate with some very nice complimentary water and so on. The downstairs Pow Wow is a real delight for a coffee on the way out and next to it is a great restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Must recommend and I'd be absolutely stoked to stay here again.

Central location for a weekend in the CBD. Great access to Crown Casino and local restaurants and nightlife, walking distance to many popular attractions with a beautiful view of the Yarra.

Great place to spend weekend, excellent atmosphere. Good service. Hired a taxi and the driver was Sunny who was very welcoming & friendly. Taxi was super neat, clean & well maintained. Highly recommendable to look for Sunny.

Very convenient location, right within the boundary of free tram zone. Nice buffet breakfast (although on the pricy side). Welcoming services provided by concierge desk.

After staying at a few different hotels around Melb when travelling for work, I have settled on the Crowne Plaza as my go to!

Rooms: Very comfortable and relatively modern. Have always been clean, air con controls work, beds very comfy and a mix of pillows.

Staff: Always great - from the team at concierge to check in to house staff, they are always great. Requests are actioned really quickly and always with a smile.

Location: Little bit away from the 'central' Fed Square part of town, but I really do not mind a tram or a walk. Easy access to South Bank and Docklands. While close to the train line, have never once heard one from the rooms.

Thank you so much to the team at the Crowne Plaza who were absolutely amazing to deal with. I am a travelling mum away from my baby for work. They went above and beyond to store my expressed milk while I was away. Nothing was ever a problem. It made my trip a lot less stressful, the staff were a delight to deal with. Superb hotel in a fabulous location. HIGHLY recommend getting a view over the river toward the casino. Stayed for 3 nights with 3 children. Tram stop right outside making access to both city and St Kilda very easy. Hotel has been refurbished and it shows. Rooms are an ok size, very clean, maintained, well equipped with a compact bathroom. Beds were a bit soft for me though! Breakfast was excellent and definitely worth the money, with lots of choices and very polite and efficient staff. Wifi was good, gym offers plenty of equipment, pool was warm, decent size for fun rather than doing lengths. Overall, a great hotel and welcoming staff who are a credit to the hotel chain and Melbourne hospitality :-)
