Grabbed a lot of food to give this place a good first try and man was it worth it!!
All the food(and drinks) were wonderful! I especially loved the Mac and cheese, corn ribs, and bolognese fries! I definitely recommend this place and will be going back soon!

Fantastic little place off Port Rd. Easy to Miss unless you’re looking for it. If you’re into the American style, southern comfort, big meal, tex mex, foody vibes - this is the joint for you.

Cocktails were generously poured and brightly coloured, food was HUGE and the flavours really hit the right spots, they have authentic tex mex/southern vibing down pat.

A note to potential new customers - if you find big flavours slightly overwhelming ask the staff for their recommendations and they will guide you towards the best options.

This restaurant knows how to Google review and they’ve listened to past patrons. Our servers were fantastic, friendly, never pushy and always happy to offer a recommendation if we were unsure. We never felt like we were in a rush to get moving though it was a busy Saturday evening dinner service.

One recommendation, this is an awesome restaurant, I will definitely be coming back as will many more. Pressure the owner of your building to buy you a better aircon! You work too hard to be working in that sweltering kitchen!

Booked into the Couch Potato before a show at The Gov. Behind a funky little door we found the coolest little restaurant with booths with lattice doors, tables for 2 and indoor and outdoor dining areas. Staff were attentive and the menu extensive. Tacos, burgers, potato’s (of course) share plate options and so much more. They also have a fabulous selection of cocktails. We left fully satisfied. Will definitely go back to try other menu options. Absolutely worth a visit and good value for money 😊😊

Visited for the first time. Staff where super friendly and helpful. Drinks were fantastic and food was to👏🏼die👏🏼for. We loved the idea of the booths being closed off with the door. Great idea! Vegan tacos were so good, I ordered more for dessert HAHA.

Came in for dinner on Wednesday night and everything was perfect! The service was amazing, cocktails were so yummy, and I couldn’t believe how quickly the food arrived - which was also delicious! Definitely need to come back some time! Thank you for a lovely dinner and great service (Brian)! :)

My daughter has been nagging at us to take her here for about a month, so we finally did.
Upon arriving we were greeted by friendly staff who were very accommodating especially because we didn't book. We had the bar at the window which was fine with us, they said there may be a wait on food but it really was so quick to come out. The food was amazing, thankyou for fitting us in with out a booking and giving us a wonderful meal.
I think that was the best service I have ever had thanks again!

Food was unreal!!! So many options and such variety. Greta drinks options too. Really love the atmosphere :) they shut the bar and kitchen a lot earlier than I expected on a Saturday night however overall great experience and would recommend ❤❤❤

Great place, with a lots of details which make it a unique venue to have a great time with friends or family. Food is also tasty and affordable. Service was super friendly and the host even ask us for dietary requirements for everyone at the table as we had a set menu. They provided us an amazing service from beginning to end and they where even closing when we left our table. Thanks and I will be coming back soon. ⭐

The food was fresh and was really good quality. I went there for a birthday dinner and we sat under the alfresco with a huge table for only six people. The mock-tails were very nice and the presentation was creative. The onions rings were crispy and had a lot of flavour. The tacos had perfectly cooked meat and the shell was crunchy which made it more tasteful. The service was fast and excellent.

Just returned from eating at Couch Potato- this is our second visit and my youngest insists that it’s their favourite place to eat .
Really love the service here - we were greeted at the door , and as we came in the manager remembered us from last time.
I had a wonderfully tangy Margarita and the teenagers had Mexican cola - they also had repeat of the American to share , which is a board full of American staples for two .
My friend and I were less hungry so we had sweet potato fries ( and other just the right amount of salt , and a delicious aioli)and some lovely buttery corn - I ordered mine with chipotle sauce which had a nice kick of spice . I also ate the Burria taco, which was full of beef brisket , with onion, cheese and coriander- which was tangy , fresh , juicy and full of flavour . I would be next time quite happy just sitting eating these tacos and drinking Margaritas . My friend doesn’t like spice so they redid hers corn with just Parmesan cheese and butter which she throughly enjoyed . In fact , the staff bent over backwards to accommodate our all our food intolerances and it was all done with a smile .
The only disappointment was when they ran out of doughnut fries and we just had to order churros instead , but all that means is that we need to make another return visit.

Great little hidden gem. Wouldn't think to walk in as on the highway and kind of hidden, but glad we did visited (reccommend by a friend). Food was great, flavourful and very filling although they look like small serves. Cocktails omg yum! Lovely service.

Comfortable seating, great food. Please just be aware if you have allergies, let your server know as the menu doesn't tell u everything in each dish. The cookies and cream churros had crushed peanuts all over them and the parmesan and buttered corn had another spice on it too. Not sure if it was proprika or something similar.

Absolutely incredible service! Felt extremely welcome and accommodated as soon as we walked in the door. Food was delicious, large portions and fantastic value. Will definitely be back, highly recommend if you’re in the mood for some carbs!

This place is genuinely amazing. The service was so good, had us crying-laughing with the jokes. The food just ten out of ten like truly a life changing experience. And the music 🎵 like I need this playlist right now. Will definitely be returning, absolutely recommend.

staff were also brilliant with the waiter performing magic tricks for my daughter to help entertain her during dinner and the waitress providing a cheeky hello and wave to brighten her day ❤

Decided to come here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary and the staff gave the best customer service we've ever received, the food was amazing as well, would recommend over and over again.

Beautiful Mexican food. Definitely a cool place to eat. Only a small issue and it's probably not the fault of the venue, but the venue attracts large groups of under 18s, so if you don't want to overhear teenage problems, this might not be the place for you.

The food here was out of this world. Especially the fried chicken bowl. It was so succulent and flavoursome, it simply melted in my mouth. The customer service was a 10/10. Idk the guy but not only was he great, but he was hilarious and left me in the stitches. P.S they need to drop the playlist link because it hit the spot

My partner and I spent our Valentine’s day here, first time visiting but it was incredible! So affordable, amazing atmosphere, staff were so nice. Will be recommending to everyone we know.
