Very tasty and delicious food. Must have try every one. Believe me before tasting this place food we have so many options but once try food here never look for another option . Highly recommended

My wife and I really enjoy eating here. It usually ends up being a long conversational meal, probably ordering too much, trying new food we’ve never ordered and taking the rest home for the next day. Friendly staff and a great selection.

Me and my family had a wonderful time at the Yarra Indian on Tuesday. It was our first time there, and I was impressed by the lunch deal. It was only $9.70/ plate, and it came with a lot of food. The taste and quantity were unbelievable. The food was fresh and satisfying. These days its hard to find such a high quality and huge quantity at the same place for such a reasonable price. The service was exceptional. The staff was courteous, attentive, and efficient. They made me feel welcome and comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Yarra Indian to anyone who loves Indian food. It was a great experience.

Consistently great traditional Indian curry dishes, never had a bad order from this little corner restaurant. Love the option to choose your spiciness levels - a real local gem.

Update: after more than 5 years we feel the same but now having moved next door to the larger space, dining in is a decent experience.

Service was excellent and the price per portion is fantastic. $24 for a meal between two which my friend and i had to takeaway. If you are looking for a truly authentic Indian experience this place may slightly disappoint you, however if you temper your expectations and come for some well made, well presented, and well loved food, you won' t regret eating here. I will be back

We order shahi paneer and butter chicken every week and are always sooo happy when it arrives. Thanks guys for filling our tummies with yumminess 🥰

Believe me i ordered 1 samosa and chicken biryani worth 16$ and its very cheap and delicious. Quantity and taste is best.

Great meal for a great price. Highly recommend them. We had butter chicken, lamb and spinach and chicken and gravy. Mild wasn’t hot at all unlike some Indian places I have been.

Easy access to from the south Yarra station. Good food and good quantity. Served warm.
Lady at the shop was very polite and served us heartily.
Good enough space for about 20 people to sit and eat.
Street parking is limited but can find somewhere.

Excellent Indian food and great service! The staff were friendly and hospitable. The butter chicken is sensational and is perfectly suited with a garlic naan. The garlic naan is well priced and is large so you'll be very satisfied. The lamb palak was the best I'd ever had! The lamb was so soft and tasty, and spinach sauce was perfect! Excellent prices and absolutely no idea why this restaurant has had 1 star reviews... 10/10 would recommend

Great food on great price and nice service. We had prathas, palak paneer and shahi paneer. It was really good.

Deliciousss!!! So, so tasty and addictive. I’ve ordered several times and this place has been consistent each and every time. Have tried many versions of the chicken, lamb, beef and paneer curries. The only one I wasn’t a fan of was the lamb madras but other than that I’ll continue to come back! Thank you for offering such amazing and delicious food at a very reasonable price.

Absolutely love this place - the food is second to none and so reasonably priced! It’s the most authentic Indian takeaway you will find in Melbourne. We are regulars for over 5 years and recommend all our family and friends. Never disappointed. Keep up the good work team!!

I have literal dreams about their butter chicken. Moved away from the country in 2019 and finally came back to this today. Only a clandestine group of S. Yarran’s appreciated this place in their backyard but there needs to be a movement to resurrect Yarra Indian from a three star review to five!!! Their butter chicken is out of this world!!! I ordered a serving of 6 for 2 people to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Highly recommend.
