First time I have been there seems like decent people there

I know of and walk past Banyule Men's Shed alot as we live a couple of streets away.... Banyule Men's Shed do some great work. But what I want to know is why they don't dedicate say 1 say a month or fortnight or even week (that may be pushing it just a tad!), to allow women to attend and have an opportunity to pick up the tools and yeah, create / fix / upcycle / dismantle / improve / learn.
Epping Men's Shed have a ladies day on a regular basis (unsure of the frequency), so Banyule????
Yes I have asked the question, in person, to the Program Facilitator. Response.... (okay brace yourselves).... "the women's program is run inside".
Do you know what the women where doing on this particular day.... baking scones!
I mean like c'mon.... sexist much?
Banyule proclaims to be all inclusive, so why not dedicate 1 day every fortnight (this would be amazing) to be Ladies day... so local women can attend and have the same opportunity to jump on the tools. I'm not suggesting it be only women, I'm proposing a day every fortnight that women can also attend (alongside the men) and use the tools.
We do stuff too! And not all of us have the financial means, the knowledge, etc to start or complete projects.
I look forward to people's thoughts.... and fingers crossed, a reply from Banyule Men's Shed itself.
