Afghan Marcopolo

I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. The food is always of excellent quality and absolutely delicious. The service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is perfect for both couples and groups of people. I highly recommend to everyone.

Absolutely loved EVERYTHING about this restaurant. The food, the service, the location and the vibe. All their meats are 100% halal too which is fantastic. I would go so far as saying that this is the BEST halal food in Mornington! The meats were incredible especially the lamb chops so juicy and flavourful hand down the best lamb chops I have ever had! The Afghan pilaf was also insanely good and a must try. And if you are looking for a deal defs check out the All you can eat special on Wednesdays!

My favourite Afghan food in Melbourne!! Every dish is simply delicious, I can never have enough, even when we come every few months. Service is superb as well!

I had incredible food here last night. The Mantu meat dumplings were amazing, but the chicken and lamb skewers stole the show! The meat was so tender and perfectly chargrilled which was placed on a bed of fluffy rice with garlic sauce and a small salad. The bolanee pastry with leak and potato was also perfect balance of flavors, and the nutella baklava for dessert was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The service was also fantastic - the staff were friendly and attentive. I can't wait to go back and try more on the menu.

It is our 1st time eating Afghan cuisine. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and the crew were extremely friendly.

Chicken tikka was spectacular and we especially loved the rice that came with it. Chicken korma wasn’t too heavy. The lamb kebab was nicely spiced and the lamb was nice and juicy. I’d recommend this restaurant if you are in Mornington and wants something different to eat - you won’t regret.

Lovely spot for a dinner. I don't know what authentic Afghan food is but the food here at Afghan Marcopolo is delicious! Loved the curry chicken and dumplings. Malty drinks are also a must try, enjoyed them so much. They are very generous with rice; it's like a never ending pile.

Amazing food, great portions, & super vegan friendly with plenty of options to chose from on the menu. Service was solid, super friendly, and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

What an amazing experience.
Phenola and Olivia were fantastic and helpful, especially with me being vegan :) We loved every aspect of the restaurant, real homely feel with some really interesting photos on the wall.
Never had Afghani food before and this was really awesome, not overpowering and not unbearably hot and spicy. Some really amazing flavours cooked up by Nada and his crew.

Our first visit here and it sure did meet its expectations and ratings. Staff were friendly, food was 10/10 and the drinks were great. Definitely will come back again when we're in the area.

I took my partner out to Marcopolo to celebrate his birthday a few nights ago and we were both blown away by how amazing the entire experience was.

All the staff were attentive and lovely, and the restaurant was full of photos of Afghanistan so the whole environment/ambient felt authentic too.

The food is some of the best we’ve ever had. We’ve never really had the opportunity to try Afghan food before, but everything we ordered was mind-blowing and amazing.

We ordered a mixed entree platter to share, Kabuli Palow, Aashak, garlic nan and firnée, with everything requested to be vegetarian.
Words can’t even describe how amazing all the food was. Highly recommend Kabuli Palow, the rice mixed with sultanas, almond and carrots paired superbly well with the eggplant and spinach. Aashak was something different (quite similar to the dumplings we had in the entree platter) and the nan was fresh.

We got to try Persian fairy floss for the first time as well in our firnée dessert which was sweet enough to share between the two of us.

Already drooling again writing this. Can’t wait to return for another meal. Thank you very much for hands down some of the best food we’ve had in Melbourne! Will definitely return again and have recommended this place to many friends and families already.

Delicious and super good , we enjoyed our dinner the meals were well sized. There are excellent cocktails on the menu and they are prepared with great presentation.

Absolutely delicious food and wonderful, friendly owner. We came here sporadically, never having been, and it was the best decision! We got the mixed grill - the meal was so tasty and delicious. The owner took time out of his day to make sure we had everything we need and to chat with us. My husband said: Now that man understands customer service- not only is the food amazing but to take the time to make your customers feel welcome, you don't just get that anywhere!

What a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

We made a group booking for dinner and everyone really enjoyed the food and service. Shane and the team were great in catering to our requests and helping us order as first timers. The entrees and mains were delicious and we will be coming back again!

Great service! The manager was super accommodating, ringing before hand to ask where our group of 8 would like to be seated. He even went out and sourced a birthday cake for us with only a couple of hours notice! Wait staff are super efficient. We received our food in good time and most importantly - it was delicious!

Where do I start, as soon as we walked in the atmosphere was nice, we got a nice greeting by one of there young lady staff member (should be very proud of there staff) and to mention all the waiters were awesome too. To the food it was absolutely delicious as always the LAMB KORMA CHALOW was amazing sorry no photo as it went down to quick and the rest the photos tell the story. And by the way the renovations look awesome. Definitely recommend. Keep up the great work

We absolutely love this restaurant. Every time we visit we are made to feel so very welcome, and this time was no exeption. The food is delicious, beautifully presented and always arrives on time. Katie and Olivia were incredibly kind, hospitable and accommodating as always, making the most delicious affogato I had ever had. Thank you so very much for a wonderful end to our night.

The service of the place was amazing, I’ve had authentic afghani food before, chicken was tender and flavourful rice could have been better. Afghani food usually has spicy sauce/chutney with it to maximize the experience was missing that. Rest everything was very good😊 dessert was my favourite 😌
