It had been a while since we had stayed (pre renovation) however, the welcome we received on arrival was very warm and friendly much like old friends returning.

The renovations are an amazing transformation throughout. The rooms are warm, inviting and tastefully done. The beds are comfortable and the quality linen makes for a great nights sleep. There is everything you need for an overnight stay or, as we did, several days.

The breakfast room is light, bright and inviting. Everything is spotlessly clean! The Breakfast is perfect to start the day with a warm greeting from Sue and daughter when you enter the room and a wide variety of bread, cereals and condiments to cater for all.

I stayed at The Black Bull for just 1 night and I found the experience to be a very good one. I was greeted warmly at the front desk and check in was very easy.

My room was a King room on the upper level. The room was spacious and had everything you would need including microwave, kettle, glassware, toiletries, ironing equipment, fridge, air conditioning and clothes hangers. There was even a can of insect repellent which I didn’t need but I thought was a nice touch.

The bed was on the harder side of comfort but I slept well and the pillows provided were good quality. The room also had a small dining table, large chair and a desk.

The water pressure was great in the bathroom and there was lots of bench space. Included in the room rate was a continental breakfast which I didn’t have but I visited the room and had a small orange juice.

Overall the hotel was very clean, had ample parking and is great value for money. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again when I’m next in Traralgon.

Just spent the night here, I agree with all the other 5 star reviews. A brilliant stop over spot. Incredibly clean rooms, very well decorated, comfortable beds with great linen. Such helpful and friendly staff too. We are so thankful to have found such a perfect spot! Will definitely stay again if we come through. Kids loved the mini waffles at breakfast- what a treat! Incredible value for money.

Spent the night at this amazing hotel. Paul at reception extremely helpful with suggestions for restaurants to go to for dinner. Where shopping centre was located. Room terrific size, clean, tidy, bed very comfortable. Pool outside back door, clean, so nice to cool down on a hot day. Turned on TV and couldn’t work it out so Paul came down to check it out. Found the antenna plug had been broken (shocked whoever broke it didn’t own up). He actually replaced the TV and made sure we knew how to operate it. Breakfast was included in the price which was plentiful. Will definitely make this our stop off place in future

This place is newly renovated and the rooms have quality linen and furnishings, with a look of an interior design finish. The quality is equally matched by the staff who are absolutely lovely and very proud and committed to making the business and the hospitality a priority. There is easy parking and we arrived at 6.30pm, checked into our room and then able to walk around the corner to Sellinas, an Italian restaurant which was divine. A bonus is that the pizza box also fits into the bar fridge in the room so leftovers for lunch the next day. This was encouraged by the restaurant manager to take the leftovers home. ☺
We will definitely make this hotel our preference for business and family trips. It’s great value for money and the staff are wholesome and welcoming. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice which was included in the room rate. Honestly one of our fave places.

Our stay at the Black Bull Motel was excellent, the only down side was that you had to go upstairs for breakfast and as I have mobility issues this was a bit of a problem. However, the owners allowed us to get our breakfast and bring it back to the room and this was a great help. Would definitely recommend this establishment.

Highly recommend the Black Bull - the rooms are of a high standard, and the extra items in the room were of great quality. Staff were helpful and professional . Their recommendation of the Traralgon Bowling Club for dinner was a great tip - do visit them. Continental breakfast was lovely too. We would definitely stay again.

Every thing at Blackbull is fantastic. We have visited this place many times and this is our preferred place In Traralgon. Very clean and comfortable rooms with the necessary amenities and extra goodies. Paul the owner has been so exceptionally nice and accommodating and goes out of his way to ensure that we have a comfortable stay. I recommend this place and looking forward to our next visit again.

Really modern nicely renovated rooms. Staff super friendly and easy going. Great price. Lovely breakfast in the morning too.

I stayed 2 nights.The newly renovated rooms were clean, bright, and include everything you need. The service was brilliant, the managers friendly and helpful. the breakfast room outstanding. The little touches to the rooms made it feel a little luxurious. The price was relatively cheap considering the high standard of the whole establishment. I would highly recommend a stay.

We had 3 nights stay and it was a very pleasant stay.
We close to the shops, walking distance. All rooms have been renovated and have been fixed up beautifully.

The owners are wonderful and friendly, nothing is to hard for them , they really care about there customers, will definitely stay again , room and bed was comfortable and extremely clean , modern bathroom and didn't run out off hot water like other places I've stayed

The staff are a great asset. They were friendly and attentive. Based on my experience of many, many motels, the rooms were of a superior quality.

Location. Within walking distance to the town centre, shopping centre, parks etc.

The service is amazing. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable.

The breakfast filling. I have a wheat allergy and I was very satisfied with the gluten free options plus variety of milks available.

Very clean and beautiful rooms, our best motel experience! They recently renovated the space so it feels very clean and fresh, the room really has a standard of international hotels. Staffs are very friendly, breakfast included, great location. Best motel in town.
