Food O'Clock Cafe & Indian Restaurant

Had a vegan option and also a chicken dish. They were both delicious. I had a mango drink that was divine. So tasty but was also good if the spicy food needed to be washed down. Staff were really attentive and the price was reasonable. Funny name but great restaurant

I had the pleasure of revisiting Food O'clock a couple of days ago, after a few months. Things have not changed. The food was excellent and my grandchildren once again enjoyed the paratha and butter chicken. The owners were gracious and the staff were friendly. Overall, a pleasant experience. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED 👍👌🙂

Been here on a short trip to bendigo. Saw that it was highly rated so we decided to give it a try. They pay attention to small details and I mean what I say. Tap water given was chilled, glasses were chilled as well. Shadings plates were heated up before passing to us. Small details but not many restaurants do it. Food was awesome, service staff were polite and professional, asking us how everything was and if we needed more food.
Will definitely be back if I’m here in bendigo again.

We had lunch here today and it was great. The food is very flavorful, the portion sizes are generous and the staff are very friendly. They recommended a lamb dish which was on the specials and it was wonderful. Looking forward to returning soon.

Whilst inBendigo, I ventured into Food O Clock for a delightful lunchtime experience. As someone who loves enjoys Indian cuisine, I typically opt for a combination of meat and vegetarian dishes between 2 people. This time, I sought the owner's recommendation for a perfect companion to my lamb vindaloo. The owner, Iqbal Singh, immediately suggested their house specialty – peppered goat.

With nearly 20 years of experience running restaurants in Melbourne, Iqbal brings a touch of culinary magic to Bendigo. His signature peppered sauce, is truly a must-try! The food arrived within 15-20 minutes, and it was absolutely fantastic. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced, and the lamb vindaloo had a perfect kick. But the star of the show was definitely the peppered goat. The sauce was flavorful and new to me, complementing the tender goat meat perfectly.

It was wonderful to chat with Iqbal, who shared his journey from Melbourne to Bendigo and his passion for creating delicious Indian food. His friendly demeanor and genuine love for his craft truly shine through in the incredible dishes served at Food O Clock.

Lovely staff, fast service, and most importantly, absolutely delicious, flavourful food. We requested all dishes to be mild, and the spice level was perfect for us. Would definitely recommend.

First time going there today got butter chicken, beef curry and lamb biryani and soo yummy. My husband and I will definitely be back great customer service and food 🤤

If you want to have authentic Indian Food in Bendigo, go to this place. More than sufficient quantity for each items, taste was excellent, good ambience, friendly staff. We had dahi vada, vegetable briyani, Aloo Paratha, Aloo Gobhi, Chicken Briyani and Mango Lassi. Unlike some restaurants, you can feel the aloo stuffing in the aloo paratha. Both the briyanis were at par with excellence. Mango Lassi was top notch. Don't miss out this place if you are in Bendigo!!

Far and away the best Indian fare in Bendigo and surrounds. Lucky has a real flair for the delights he offers. Mouth watering tastes from his skilful blending of spices, nothing but the freshest of ingredients used and all prepared with a minimum of fuss and a great deal off efficiency. Highly recommend the Beef Vindaloo, succulent chunks of beef in the most creamy, suitably spiced hot sauce. Lamb Rogan Josh, amazingly tender cubed lamb with the traditionally flavoured creamy gravy, deliciously spicy. Bravo, बेहतरीन क्वालिटी, touche!

Best Indian food in Bendigo - that's the review in short. Love the fact that the owner Lucky is himself the chef and he caters to bits and details of the order. And he cares to know his customers. I'm sure this is why he's in the business for years. The food is lovely, the girls at the front and service are friendly, and the atmosphere suits whether you are alone, with friends or family. Always come here when up from Melbourne,consistantly good vegetatarian food deliciously flavoured vegetables and sauces cooked with the right amount of heat and spices,fluffy rice and perfectly cooked naans,very friendly and helpful staff make it a delightful dining experience.

Best Indian food in Bendigo, been here numerous times before an the food is always perfect, from Biryani to their Vindaloo I always get it hot and they make it hot, some other Indian restaurants I've tried their hot is only mild.

This is the best indian restaurant in Bendigo. Staff is very polite and food is very yummy.

The best Indian food in town, with the best service to match! Owners and staff are lovely, helpful and very welcoming. There is a regular and vegan menu (must be asked for specifically), heat levels and dietary requirements are easy to adjust for with most items. Serving sizes are not the biggest, but the food is always fantastic. The hardest part will be picking what to eat off of the vast menu.
