Norman Avenue Fish and Chips

Fed the whole family here tonight and I am speechless. The food for start is incredible, the best fish and chips in Victoria in my opinion. They had all sorts of variations for people with dietary requirements (gluten-free wife), The service is incredibly quick (5 minutes for $97 worth of food) and the staff are very warm, friendly and humorous. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and absolutely recommend it to everyone of all ages!

Absolutely top shelf fish & chips, & some of the tastiest & well made burgers going around. Fish was plumb & juicy, & the thick cut chips are a cracking point of difference to anywhere else locally - they just taste better! Well done & steering clear of the delivery apps too, which makes sure customers get to eat the food fresher & enjoy some of the care taken in the cooking & preparation. Not too many places have a guide on the wall to help make the burgers the right way every time… brilliant attention to detail 👏🏽

Great fish and chips, fish batter is light and crispy and fish was cooked just right; very enjoyable. The chips are hand cut and were well cooked and very enjoyable. The staff were great, helpful and good service. Highly recommend Norman Avenue tucked away in Franky Sth. Make the effort for your next fish and chip urge….

Normans Fish & Chips is unlike any usual experience you have when ordering F&C. Was like as if I was walking into my own kitchen at home and top food was immaculate. Would now be my go to whenever I come to the beach.

Crispy batter, succulent fresh flake. Golden crispy potato cakes and quality chips. Food was ordered and ready in 10 mins. Absolutely awesome, can’t wait to get back!

Fantastic food, and yes, the owner and staff are terrific, but make sure you pick your order up as I just had a non-delivery by Menulog, 2 hours after ordering it, and 1 hour after the requested delivery time. I reluctantly cancelled the order which was still sitting at the restaurant 30 minutes after being ready to deliver, with the Menulog driver nowhere to be seen. I feel for the shop as they are doing everything right to try to provide great customer service, but they are not helped by unreliable drivers. Hard to find reliable people. Seems to be a sign of the times.

We’re new to the area and this was our first time here, I almost cried from happiness when I bit into my chicken burger (I am 4 months pregnant but I probably would have cried even if I wasn’t haha) IT WAS THAT GOOD. My fiancé says his burger was delicious too. The chips were perfect too, just the right amount of chicken salt & golden & crunchy.

5th time we’ve had F+C from you since you’ve opened....

Edit: 2 years on, September 2023 now. Fish and Chips still perfect. Burgers perfect. Everything we get from this joint is awesome. Thanks mate, love your work.
