I highly recommend Michael Cunningham at Paul vale criminal law in Ringwood. I have used the legal aid system multiple times with unsatisfactory results. This man went above and beyond to help me and actually showed me compassion and respect and a detailed outcome of the hard work he put towards my case. I couldn't have dreamed for a better outcome. Helped me so much. Thanks. If your best option is to use the public system and legal aid Paul Vale would be my first step.

My experience (whilst not desired) was handled in a manner that provided me with guidance and assurance to achieve a fair outcome. I never wish to engage with a firm like this again (for obvious reasons), but if you do I couldn't recommend highly enough.

When I was in court feeling the pressure and trying to explain my innocence, my interpreter friend and Yang happened to be working in court. They happened to be friends, and Yang took the initiative to care about me, explaining the regulations, procedures, and all the trial possibilities that the judge might give me. Mr Yang guided me and offered to ask if he could be on the dock to explain to the judge on my behalf, and indeed the judge quickly dismissed the case!
