Highly recommend this fabulous cafe!
The food menu had so many great options to choose from. Our smoothies were delicious!
The owner was so lovely to everyone who came into the cafe, knew the regulars names and just such a lovely guy! We actually had a problem with our wheelchair with something stuck in the wheel and he came over to help us out and fixed the problem for us.
Very child and dog friendly as well.
The customer service was 20/10! Couldn’t recommend them enough! :)

Lovely little cafe! All the classics on the menu plus more, I got the manic mushrooms (gf/no egg) and my partner got the eggs Benedict (with chorizo/add hash brown). Both were great serving sizes with both of us leaving happy and full. Very flavoursome, highlight was my pesto with the mushrooms! Warm seating inside or airy seating outside. Coffees are a stand out, including loose leaf chai. You will be shocked and mighty pleased with the large size!!! We also took home some of their baked goods from the display, we will enjoy them later! Thank you, we will be back again!

I’m a fussy coffee drinker and I must say their coffee is just top notch! Have visited three times now and it has been consistently good. Had their home made GF brownie on my last visit and it was soooo good. Staff are very friendly and genuinely kind towards every single customer the whole time I was there observing. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely soon become one of their regular customers!!

I’ve heard good things about the latest young owner so decided to return after a few years. I’ve seen a HUGE improvement on their coffee, foods and services. Staffs were so friendly with the big smile. I love the new fit-out of the shop as well! Both me and my husband enjoyed our coffee and foods so much. Will definitely come back!!! Highly recommend!

Overall just an amazing cafe, Amazing Matcha both iced and hot and amazing staff members. Highly recommend and amazing for instagram photos!

Our big group sat in a private room today, ordered 2 magics and many other drinks and foods. Surprisingly everything came out so quick even though they were so busy! Presentation, taste and service were fab. Coffee was so good that I ended up ordering a second one straight after finishing the 1st! Will definitely come back!

As a new local business they are acceptable beginners , more space for improvement but everyone can enjoy from what it is now hopefully they will keep up with Coffee and breakfast taste . I'm giving them 4+ stars as they deserve it at this stage, So wishes for all people in and around the Patterson Lakes and Carrum to help them up to have a good local business .

We didn’t have a booking this morning due to be busy for Mother’s Day. The lovely owner made room for us and my husband and I had an amazing breakfast. Best tasting coffee too! Definitely try them out. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great coffee, best you’ll find in the area. Had the big breakfast, make sure you’re hungry as it’s a big serve and cooked to perfection. Partner got soft poached and they were perfect. Highly recommend this place. Will be our new brunch spot.

The new owner is so friendly and attentive, you can tell he really loves what he does and cares about your experience. The coffee is amazing and although I’m yet to try the food I’m sure it’s great too. He also gave my daughter a free muffin, thank you it was so sweet of you!

I’m not sure what’s going on?!? Everyone is so friendly and niceat Gretal coffee roasters. It’s like the staff went through a time warp from 1950 to the present.

Food is awesome and coffee is strong with a deep flavour. 5 stars recommend highly.

So we heard there were new owners at Settle Gretel and thought we would give it a go. The indoors have been completely changed and refreshed. Its a really nice atmosphere. Outdoor seats and a kids little play area which is a bonus, a godsend for some families. Coffee was very good. Menu looks amazing with so many dishes I wanted to try. Vegan and GF options too. The burgers were enormous and our food was seriously delicious and fresh. Generous portions and we were stuffed. The owner is so friendly and genuine. Staff are lovely. The new set up is just what this area needs.

Been a customer for a while now but since Tony and his wife have taken over there's been significant improvements.

They get to know their customers and the community which is lacking in cafes around our area.

Found the place through a search in Google and must admit we enjoyed every minute of it !!
Coffee was wonderful and the breakfasts we had (mushroom and avo) were so thoughtful and tasty. You can see someone was thinking of you when creating the menu and when cooking it. Every small details counts. Just lovely 💜
